I think I might like Dylan more than Jesse as a protagonist, but I like the Service Weapon gameplay more than Aberant.

I have had FA+ for a long time and strongly advocate others doing the same. It is the only art platform that isn't part of some tech hegemony and catered to niche audiences by default, so far as I am aware. Also, their advertising campaigns are easily the best return on investment out there.

TLDR: Fur Affinity's advertising partners are demanding that they ban adult content. Sciggles and FA want to firmly tell them to go fuck themselves. If they're going to be able to afford to do that, they need the community's help. Pitch in. Keep furry weird. www.furaffinity.net/journal/1143...

The bat is insistently requesting the unsubmitted reports. I'm wondering whether she really has to make this Monday more Monday-ish. #art #furryart

Are all these artists that go right from roughing out volumes to line art just tracing generated stuff? I have not previously seen this sort of working method outside of figure drawing sessions and even then people don't go right to finished line art from forming an envelope.

It remains really cool to have seen people get their copies of the Overstay book and be happy with how it turned out. For a very long time I had aspired to make something like that and now on the other side of it I'm really content. Excited for new stuff.

I wonder what percentage of conspiracy theories have resulted from people clashing with basic stuff like "I think therefore I am.", realizing the subjectivity of their percevied reality and then just running with it. Skeptical of all things they cannot personally verify: so essentially everything.

At one point I was going to write a story where a tech mogal developed a program that "helped" people optimize their day to day decisions away and the character would eventually leverage that influence for ill.

I removed that part of the plot. I thought it would be dumb to discard one's own agency to that extent, but also that nobody would trust said program. I guess I was wrong on both counts.

Which goes to say I really need to get to finishing the rest of this story. I don't know how far we are subsitisting by hunting delivery drones for food and clothing, but there is a trajectory here.

It is a bummer Robert Jordan didn't live to finish The Wheel of Time. The last books he wrote were finally paying off all the cool stuff he had set up in the slower books and the series actually delivered on wrapping it all up pretty well.

He never wrote himself into a corner like Martin seems to have. His notes on the ones Sanderson ended up writing weren't all-encompassing, but reading it, it feels like at minimum he plotted all the major character and story resolutions.
