Folks regularly talk about how awful the video game industry is, and I include myself in that. But then you read or receive feedback like this...and you're reminded why it's worth it, and who you're really doing this for. Every studio gets letters like these. They help a lot.

The time & effort to create something was a barrier to slop. Practice, failures, asking for help, walking away, revisiting earlier works. It took time, and the end result was better for it.

This is terrifying. A bird flu outbreak has been raging uncontrolled on a mink farm for months. Experts fear it could spark a devastating human pandemic. And officials are refusing to act. What a story from @natlash.bsky.social: www.propublica.org/article/bird...

Fuck you AI You took away the one last thing about the internet I liked, animals doing cute/amazing/dumb things & make it a prompt from a human. Animals > humans real > 'generated' Shit head kittens, baby goats, puppers.... Adorable & perfect just the way they were.

Syrp Genie II with the #Fujifilm #GFX100 at 200mm At Bryce Point in Bryce Canyon National Park. Sometimes a big image is the only way to see the little details. As a multi-row panorama, it'll be multiple gigapixels.

Note to self, when traveling in Utah, make sure to pack extra coffee & wine. There are no local options. Thankfully I packed extra tequila...

Out adventuring in SW Utah, finally got to hike The Narrows at Zion National Park yesterday. Why do I shoot medium format? There is no replacement for megapixels #GFX100 #MediumFormat

Scenes from the locker room post-match 🎶 Longtime Sounders fan Will Daniel addressed the squad and led Jingle Bells following our win over New England!

I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve taken some shots at the Austin fanbase over the years, but this absolutely deserves our respect.

Hey Apple, I really need you to understand that a laptop can exist without Phone. The ability to make calls is a great option, but by no means is it a required feature. It's a laptop. I don't want Facetime, Messages or Phone on it. If I need those things I'll grab my iPhone. Fuck you, MacOS26

Join us on Friday October 16th for a celebration of Tom's life.

Seattle, June 2015 So many of these parking lots are now high-rise buildings. South Lake Union, can you name all the different buildings now present?

Brian Schmetzer appreciation post Because it's fun to watch other teams play games with their head coaching decisions.

Was just informed that @seattletimes.com is ceasing beat coverage of soccer. Massive loss for both local and national soccer community.

I will probably regret writing this but the underlying subject has been on my mind for a very long time, and it was time. @slate.com slate.com/news-and-pol...

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the loved ones of Tom Biro and the entire Emerald City Supporters family 💚

Cristian Roldan asked to start of his availability talking about former ECS president Tom Biro, who died recently. ‘First and foremost, rest in peace to Tom. It makes you realize that the sport and what we do on a daily basis is nothing when health is in jeopardy.’

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of former ECS co-president Tom Biro.

Because there isn't enough sports already in these markets... This further dilutes the sponsorship dollars for other teams in those markets, teams that don't have massive tv contracts to underwrite their product. They are not going to stop at 33.

There are too many transactions happening in the NBA to consider it or the product stable. Every one of these is playing into the idea of driving up those expansion fees.

Waiting for a D to state clearly that they'll knock down the ballroom on day 1 because they can.

#OTD 2021 – Sounders run rampant in Portland, torching Timbers 6-2 at Providence Park. First-half brace from Fredy Montero is followed by Raul Ruidiaz doing likewise. It's part of 4-game win streak across all competitions. www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrVG...
