Be unapologetically pro-human. Interpretation of that is left as an exercise for the reader.

Trump‘s father died of frontotemporal dementia. This is a description of a late stage of the disease. Notice how several of the descriptors match perfectly with what we see with Trump.

This is EXACTLY the area I research. When AI functions to substitute for human cognitive functions rather than augmenting them, you get this…

(For educational purposes only, not an endorsement of such an action) The best way to interfere with the operations of a data center is to render the cooling system inoperable. A lack of cooling in a data center causes the rooms containing the computers to reach hundreds of degrees within minutes.

since California ballots are now out: prop 40 is the billionaire tax, and you should vote yes to stick it to them but both props 41 and 42 are designed to retroactively cancel the billionaire tax because they’re afraid they can’t beat it at the ballot box yes on 40, no on 41 and 42

Our current economy is set up in such a way that fortunate, wealthy people who want to be all-powerful comprise the most influential people.

Why a general strike against AI development? 1. The harms from AI increase exponentially with every passing day we do not take action. 2. We cannot rely on our legislatures to regulate AI in a timely manner, so we must take this issue into our own hands and strike.

We need mass civil disobedience against AI development. Every day we kick this can as a “future“ issue is one more day that shareholders can destroy humanity.

My recommendations for a boycott until AI development is ceased: 1. Cancel any AI subscriptions you have. 2. DO NOT FOR ANY REASON USE GENERATIVE AI FOR ANYTHING. 3. Cancel other Google Subscriptions (Google Workspace, YouTube Premium, etc.) if possible.

We need a general strike with the goal of ceasing development of AI until we are confident we have tackled the alignment issue. The problem is: how do we organize one?

Arrogant centrists have a double standard when it comes to political factions working together to achieve a goal. When they do it: “bipartisanship“ When a progressive does it: “horseshoe theory”

Discord hit me with forced age verification. I wish the legislators who validated a moral panic with age verification mandates incurable explosive diarrhea for the rest of their lives.

It’s time to see what body of water Trump throws a fit about next. My guess? The Gulf of California, which he will attempt to rename it to “Gulf of Freedom” or something stupid.

I really dislike the “we need to teach them how to use it” argument for AI use in schools; That mode of reasoning would necessitate a prescription of AI use far less than the frequency AI pushers recommend. If you can write a text message, you can use AI.

I honestly think the use of GenAI should be prohibited in K-12 schooling, since development of critical thinking and creativity is crucial, and AI use suppresses it.

To those who attempt to justify the continuance of the current United States: You cannot clean an already tarnished flag. The dogmatic ideals – life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness – have always been in hypocrisy with reality.

If you claim to fight for the ideals of a country, but instantly decline, without thought, the idea of forming a new government to further those ideals, then you’re not a patriot, you’re a nationalist.

Pete Hegseth calling himself the “secretary of war” makes it really easy to call him the “secretary of war crimes“, the latter being a more accurate title.

When you ban current social media platforms for people under the age of 16, you are gazing with the same superficiality as the people who ban books in schools.

I genuinely think that money is addictive, and, while a feature of society, promotes a competitive spirit in humanity, to the detriment of our common good.

Thinking in terms of country instead of humanity is dangerous, and yet I still see that thinking pattern in most of the most popular people on bluesky.
