I have argued this for a while...if rights are god given, they are meaningless unless there is a state to recognize those rights. Case in point is Palestine. A Palestinian's god given right to life and security means nothing when their occupiers are butchering them.

I firmly believe that sanity will return. I don't believe that the Democratic Party will be the ones to restore it, however. When Trump is gone, and his regime destroyed; there will need to be sweeping reforms made to ensure that someone like Donald Trump is ever able to rise to power again.
