Finally, the report on the non-binary census has been released! ❤️ If you couldn't make it to the presentation held as part of Faroe Pride week, you can now read the results yourself 😄 Happy Faroe Pride! 🌈 In solidarity with the Pride in Berlin 💔

Sigmundur held a presentation about the results from the Faroese non-binary census! It was a part of LGBT+ Faroe Islands' Faroe Pride Week ❤️ After the presentation, there was a lively and productive discussion about the census and gender neutral language in Faroese.

Happy Enby Day! 🏳️‍⚧️ 💛🤍💜🖤

[English] 2026-07-14 We’re celebrating/commemorating: - International Nonbinary People’s Day - Nonbinary Awareness Week - Queer Wrath Month - Disability Pride Month https://en.pronouns.page/calendar/2026-07-14

The card editor and the dictionary of queer terminology have always been separate parts of our app, making the interface quite confusing and unhelpful – but not anymore! 😉 You can now copy flags from the dictionary directly over to your card! 🎉

Archie has been representing us at an inclusive job fair "Beyond Labels" in Cracow. We got a chance to present our mission, accomplishments and cooperation opportunities, to network with other NGOs, to share our stickers and flyers, and to have many great conversations with NGOs and other visitors.

We've just released v3 of our public API: the routes are now clearly split into public ones – with a backwards-compatibility promise – and internal endpoints; it's also now documented in OpenAPI format, with documentation and API explorer hosted on bump.sh – huge thanks! docs.api.pronouns.page

We're honoured to be named the LGBT+ Supporting Initiative of the Year! 💛🤍💜🖤 Polish language is so gendered that even simple sentences require a nonbinary speaker to pick between pretending to be a man and pretending to be a woman. Six years ago the team of Zaimki.pl decided to change that ✊

fun fact: thanks to big tech embracing vibe coding and lowering their standards, github – a complex system worth billions, owned by microsoft, and maintained by large teams of professionals – is now officially less stable than our humble project that runs on a single machine 😅

Vit lýsa ikki bara við spurnakanningina á netinum men eisini runt um Tórshavn! Um tú ikki hevur svarað spurnakanningina enn, so er enn eitt sindur av tíð eftir! Minst eisini til at deila við tíni vinfólk! ❤️

We're not just promoting the census on our socials, but also out and about in Tórshavn! If you haven't taken the census yet, you stil have a little bit of time left! Remember to also tell your friends about it! ❤️

if you use custom opinions, you might've run into problems when mixing them with default ones – that’s because we had an heuristic which decides which pronouns are shown in the language overview of your profile and – for languages which gender adjectives – how your labels are gendered. but now… 🧵

now you can tell via sentiment how you feel about your custom opinions – making it obvious how the application handles them and giving you the control you need. if you wonder why some opinion already has a negative sentiment, that’s just what the old heuristic said

Today we're kicking off the first large survey of language used by the Faroese nonbinary community! As our experience with Polish census showed us, it's incredibly important to study how minoritised communities deal with gendered language. Please help us reach the respondents by sharing 😉

April is now Aroace Acceptance Month. Aroace Acceptance Month is just a month to recognise and accept people in the aroace spectrum. That’s all and I wish I can say more. Blow this post up for it to reach @pronouns.page :3

If you've experienced PronounsPage being slow on Safari, that should be resolved now 🎉 Safari is terribly inefficient with loading large fonts – like the emoji font we use for consistency across devices. Safari will now use system emojis, but at least it wont eat up gigabytes of memory anymore 😅

Andrea Vos@avris.it

fun fact: if you don't want your website to blow up its RAM usage on Safari by GIGABYTES, do not load emoji fonts – Safari seems to be HORRIBLY inefficient with those 🤦 gitlab.com/PronounsPage...

Today is #PronounsDay! 🌈 Sharing your pronouns isn’t just about you – it’s about creating a world where everyone feels seen and respected. A small act can make a big difference for your queer siblings. Let’s normalise asking for and sharing pronouns – just like we do with names 😉 What are yours?

Annunciamo con orgoglio che la localizzazione più richiesta, quella italiana, è finalmente disponibile! Grazie infinite ad ogni collaboratorice che l'ha resa possibile!

We're proud to announce that the language version that you've been requesting the most – Italian – is finally published! Huge thanks to all the contributors that made it possible!

Do you want to put things like your deadname in your profile so that people who had known you under a different name can more easily identify you – but you also don't want it in your face on your card? You can now hide parts of the profile under a spoiler tag 😉

What’s better than people using your name? People pronouncing it correctly! We added pronunciation via IPA a long time ago, but the voice was restricted to the respective locale, yielding sometimes wrong results. Now you can choose between all available voices to pick the one that works best!

It's hard to believe it's been 5 years already! 🤭 During that time our project has grown to 22+ language versions and over a million accounts! Huge thanks to everybody contributing to Pronouns.Page and to all of you for making our languages more inclusive! 💛🤍💜🖤

For the fifth year in a row we've surveyed the language of nonbinary people who speak Polish – where avoiding gendering yourself and others is incredibly hard. The resulting report is looooong… 😅 We're preparing a summary report in English 😉 Huge thanks to Szymon, Andrea and Tymoteusz!
