Slopey boi test run went well tonight. Fun little engine.

New slopey boi switcher on the layout. Wish I had more sidings and turnouts to really put this little guy to work, but for now, we’re shuffling cars around the layout like there’s a very important job to do.

Got asked a question today I’ve never been asked before… “Are you here for the guns or the trains?” Please, if you are selling trains, don’t start your conversation this way.🤪

The Brewers are so much fun to watch. They were better than the Dodgers at EVERYTHING. It’s not that LA was bad but Milwaukee beat them in every facet of the game.

The York Trainshow is a little out of my reach. I treated myself to a new PRSL tool car instead.

Finally fixed the lock on the sliding glass door. No more hockey sticks keeping it from being opened. 🙌

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more Philadelphia Citizen alert

I was on the fence about ABS challenges. Consider me firmly in the happy to have it camp.

What did they give Jalen Hurts while he was in the tent

Some 3D printed pieces I picked up this weekend. Ice chest, USPS mailbox, newspaper honor box, Auto trader and pallet. It’s so cool to see people bring fresh talents to the hobby.

Picked up this standard gauge 520 at the train show. It was good condition with original paint, clear Lionel Lines heat stamp and just a little rust. Replaced the wires, some cleaning and did A LOT of polishing. I’ll need to replace the glass lenses at some point. Fun project. #modeltrains

Sad day for Diamondbacks land.

The Phillies, who haven't scored in 20 innings, trail by 10 runs.

I cant wait for the same Phillies players who came up short in 2026 to tell us they wont play baseball in 2027 because they deserve hundreds of millions of dollars.

Didn’t buy too much at the train show today. Spent most of time looking at the layouts. A lot of care went into creating these highly detailed Southwest scenes.

Part of my Lionel electronic set. This set was produced in the late 1940s. The set is unique where you could send radio waves through the track to control the train, whistle, uncouple and operate a dump car. It would be another 50 years before Lionel tried again w TMCC.

Slow commute home today. We got about half of our average annual rainfall in about six hours.

Purple Heather came up on my playlist. Such a good song for the fall. Think I’ll enjoy the rest of this playlist over some backyard beers. 🍻🎶

Phillies 1, Braves 0. A 109-pitch shutout for Jesús Luzardo. It's their first 1-0 CG shutout win since Roy Halladay did it Sept. 14, 2011.

clock at zero, ball still not touched (hard to make out, I get it)

Pro wrestling is more believable and morally principled than college football.

Woohoo! I buy a lot of paint from these guys. It will be good to finally browse in person. If you’re in the Tucson area, be on the look out.

I don’t eat a lot of fast food, however, I would crush a cup (or two) of Arby’s steak nuggets.

Mail Day! MTH Premier Habbersett Scrapple boxcar. Gritty approves. #modeltrains

Phillies playing a very PAC 10 after dark type of game.

Jeopardy! Masters is the most humbling game show series. It’s amazing how quickly these contestants can answer some of the toughest trivia questions. I’m convinced the producers have to dumb it down a little for us normal folks so we at least have a fighting chance of answering along with them.

Kyle Schwarber vs Riley O'Brien 🏁 Walk-Off 🏁 Home Run (39) 💣 Exit velo: 108.5 mph Launch angle: 33 deg Projected distance: 459 ft No doubt about that one 🔒 That's a dinger in all 30 MLB ballparks STL @ PHI 🔻 9th

Bought my first ever brand new car today! 2026 Chevy Trax. I’m dont think ive ever bought a car with less than 50k miles. This one has 5 miles. My best backyard mechanic days are behind me now and wanted something new.

K4 night in the train room. #modeltrains

IDK-Think I ask Crawford to take that pitch with Schwarber on deck.

Don Mattingly isn’t invited to the parade btw

I need to take a shower after watching that filthy Phillies game.

Not a fan of bunting here.

I am of the opinion that Stubbs running was the right move. You haven’t had a hit in five innings, almost out of pitchers and your bottom of the lineup is due up.

Thought they’d pitch around Guerrero but a double play works too.

Spent the day fishing and noticed so many people poorly parking boats. A full day of overconfident & inexperienced boaters projecting their frustrations upon everyone else. It’s scary that people can be so bad at something but find it so easy to blame everybody but themselves.

We’ll all point to the Dodgers as the reason for the cap. TBF they have an incredibly run organization that develops a lot of prospects, super wealthy owners and maybe the best TV deal in sports. It’s the Mets who are the BETTER reason for the cap.

That’s Alec Bohm’s best at bat in I don’t know how long. Took some close pitches, fouled off some tough sliders and drove one into the gap.

The temperature has dropped 40° in two hours. Gotta love these summer storms.

How about Lionel brings this back but as an AI Data Center

First year of middle school starts next week for my youngest. Just need to get through some complaining about school clothes at Target followed by Smashburger.
