I’m down with that, but only if we also rename Florida to “Tallywhacker” (TW).

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump on renaming things: "We have a lake, we have a gulf. We need a river, an ocean, and a strait. So I've got the strait. That's the Strait of Hormuz. We're gonna call it the Trump Strait ... I want to change the the name of the Atlantic Ocean to the American Ocean."

Classic 🤣🤡

A Republican super PAC trying to influence a crucial Senate race in Maine spent thousands of dollars running an attack ad in the wrong Portland, targeting voters thousands of miles away in Oregon.

Trump today made up story that he was at Ground Zero on 9/11. This is stolen valor. He was NOT there. Yet corporate media covers it by saying "there is no evidence to back up Trump's claims." No the right way to put is that Trump LIED!! www.mediaite.com/politics/tru...

Twitter died a long time ago and X isn't worth it. Before I made the jump, my ego was holding me back. I was too concerned with vanity metrics. I finally realized if you're posting stuff people want to follow, then they'll follow you, even when you leave. www.siliconrepublic.com/enterprise/k...

This is a really interesting development in the economics of AI.

Nvidia's new fund changes the dynamics of the whole SOFTWARE industry. Yes, software. They now have a deep incentive not to deprecate the toolchain that supports old chips. E.g. if CUDA drops your card it's dead. Keeping old hardware alive is now worth money to them.

It turns out extrajudicial killing of fishermen does not, in fact, deter the flow of drugs. Why am I not surprised this illegal policy isn’t producing the intended result? 🧐

Really important to note that in no way shape or form did Anthropic’s models in this incident “escape containment,” and not just in the word-policing sort of way. The model stumbled through an open, misconfigured gap. From Anthropic’s incident report:

I think traditional media, even post-internet media, is just dead. There’s a clash between what MSM projects, and how it is perceived.

Trying to make sense of a senseless political party (GOP) is in itself senseless. But those in the opposition shouldn’t stop calling out the corruption, cruelty, and hypocrisy. To stop is to become complacent.

This a very good ruling/sign.

MeidasTouch@meidastouch.com

HUGE WIN IN KATIE PHANG’S EPSTEIN FILES LAWSUIT: Judge Emmet Sullivan is making the DOJ prove its case. Todd Blanche must now submit the unredacted Epstein Files documents for in-camera review along with evidence supporting the government’s redactions.
