We are far from perfect in the U.K. and Government sought to circumvent norms and procedures. However, when things got serious, the system worked and removed Boris Johnson and then Liz Truss. The checks and balances worked. I’m not seeing any evidence of this on the USA. Very worrying.

I worked in Auto for 30 years. We tried many times to Federalize vehicles. It was not easy. Different crash, emissions, lighting etc requirements. They were the regulations and you had to meet them. Same here in Europe. The real problem is American car quality and size. Europeans don’t want them.

Wisconsin’s Supreme Court race is a litmus test for Trump and Musk. If Democratic-backed Susan Crawford wins tomorrow’s election for an open seat on the court—which faces cases on abortion, public sector unions, voting rules & congressional district boundaries—it will be a HUGE BLOW to Republicans.
