I was reading up on foveated streaming, and the idea of quantisation per macroblock really tickled my fancy. Long story short I thought I'd use bad apple as a sort of quantisation mask on another video. I couldn't find a good video that would show it off well, so here's bad apple self quantised.

The new firefox theme has the ugliest gradients, and terrible spacing. about:config browser.nova.enabled

@vcorenmitchell.bsky.social Are you aware of your tell when it comes to announcing the winner of each episode? You always look slightly towards the losing team just before saying the winner. You've done it for years. (Not that it matters in the slightest)

Gradients are now optional. So is high contrast text. And I even caved to the desires of PEOPLE THAT LOVE BAND NAMES BEING IN UPPERCASE. If you've already adjusted the setting when viewing a planner then those will be honoured, and override these. (Uppercase doesn't have a user toggle, yet)

Many moons ago, it turns out qplanner had 25px between stages. To celebrate that revelation you can now set the gap as: 0, 1, 5, 10, or 25px.

I think I shaved a couple of ms off loading a planner today. The changes are likely more impactful on mobile. Large events like Glastonbury are much less painful on page load. I also fixed a windowing bug that occasionally made panning have an unwanted initial jump, on mobile.

Wanna get hype AF to live, remixed songs about... mostly animals I guess. Then there's some sad songs and then back to animals. With me singing along? FOR NEARLY A GOD DAMN HOUR!!!! Couldn't make it to the gig but really wanted to see it? Just curious? $10 www.patreon.com/mrweebl/post...

patreon.comMr Weebl : Live in Salford : 2026 | Weebl's StuffRecorded in Salford, Manchester on August the 15th. A nearly 1 hour live set of Mr Weebl's tunes, remixed and sung to (sometimes), live, on

Is my view of the eclipse obscured? What I did: * Use a website to generate a 3d model of my neighbourhood * Import it in to 3d software * Add a physical sky for the date/time/location * Add a camera at my virtual house What I should have done: * Looked out the window yesterday at the right time

I made a planner for Wacken using the JSON data that the official site uses, and I felt pleased. And... only now did I notice that I forgot to adjust the times based on the time zone, so it had been an hour out for weeks.

Broadcasters should have held firm and opted not to show the halftime show. Analysis from Yeovil's head groundskeeper from the 90s would be more interesting. Modern events have far too much empty spectacle, across the board. Squeezing value out of the heart of everything.

I've updated part of the UI for qplanner's creator (the editor) The top rows of buttons, plus all of the toolbox actions, are now in a menu structure. I've also moved some theme options into a menu. It just looks nicer, and more accessible.

What do you reckon is the pop song you've heard passively most times in your life, ie you didn't put it on, it was just playing somewhere? I think mine's either Dreams by Fleetwood Mac or Every Breath You Take. But if Valerie had come out earlier, it would be winning easily by now.

The wallpaper feature has been updated. I've added a colour picker, the option to hide unselected acts, and a lot of bug fixes. #musicfestival #planning #nobodywillseethistweet

Seeing the local BBC news covering Pride, discussing targeted intolerance. Before this the main news gave Reform a platform to talk about their policies. Maybe stop platforming them?

Festival performances need more audience sounds in the mix. It used to be a thing, and it added so much more character to the recording. Nowadays it sounds like people are barely into it. ???

Here we go, wallpaper generation with stage times is now live. Perfect for your lock screen. (Work in progress, but usable)

Do you love funny stories about maps that went wrong? Do you want to take a book in your hand luggage on holiday? Then, good news! The PAPERBACK edition of the #MapMen book 'This Way Up - When Maps Go Wrong' is out TODAY! lnk.to/mapmen

Closed testing will last until 12+ people have the app installed, are using it occasionally enough + giving feedback, over the course of 14 continuos days. Only after that can I make the app public on Google Play.

I am extremely aware that the app needs work. Besides missing features, and some ugliness in places, I also need to upgrade it to a newer version of the framework it uses, and that will be painful at take time.
