I first played it around the time I came out. Amazing and wonderful RPGs have come out since then. Games that affected me emotionally as well. But nothing can compare to how ME hit me at that very particular moment in my life. It doesn't come as a shock but man does it sting.

Realized today Michigan's 16 year consitutional convention vote is democratic Maoism, continous revolution. That said, don't vote yes on Prop 1. It'll just open our constitution up for special interests and evangelicals to rewrite it.

The more you look into early SIOP plans, the more you begin to understand just how psychopathic SAC commanders were.

Global diesel prices will skyrocket and the glut of diesel domestically would just sit in storage at export terminals, disconnected from the domestic market. Retaliation bans from countries like Canada will cut diesel feedstock leading to higher domestic prices.

So whose Perry Johnson. I first heard of him earlier this year. He, or I guess his PAC, ran ads everywhere saying how Trumpy he was yada yada. He never got traction in the polls, well outside a few questionable ones. Then, as 8/4 drew close, boom Perry Johnson signs everywhere.

Either he's got some big donor astroturfing for him or he's burning a lot of money. This is the guy who ran against Trump early in the 2024 primary and now is running against James as the more Trumpy alternative...at a time when Donald Trump has never been more unpopular esp. in Michigan.

Oh yeah, Mike Duggan. We intially had a three-way contest with a democrat, republican, and independent (who leans democrat). Duggan was the latter. He was mayor of Detroit. Guess he was well-liked but lost any chance of support when he tried to do the centrist "can't we get along" act.

He wasn't popular outside Detroit but Benson will need those votes. That is, if James on the GOP side hadn't cratered in the polls. It's still close but by Michigan standards, Benson has been pretty comfortable since the spring.
