I'm planning to release an actual play soon so y'all can get a feel for how it plays, but in the meantime I hope you'll check it out. If you're not ready to bite just yet, there is a jumpstart/ashcan version available for free as well, also available on Itch.

Why "steam"? Because the game takes place during the a steampunkified-version of the Industrial Revolution, when steam was not only the engine for power, but also force of will, manifest. Why "spite"? Because here, in spite of your enemies, the more damage you take, the stronger you become.

Haven’t been (and won’t be, foreseeably) on here as much recently because the app has all-but-stopped working on my decade-old iPhone 7. Y’all be well, at least long enough for my sporadic desktop check-ins.

Not to be a bigass lesbian on main but I fucking love my wife you guys. She’s so cool, so beautiful, so brilliant. She smells amazing. I just want her to absolutely destroy me, just consume me, just let me dissolve into her body and hair and breath. She’s fucking incredible and I’m so lucky.

It's FREE👏SHIT👏FRIDAY👏 Everything changes as a new school year looms, say good bye to the long summer and get ready for autumn! If only there was a FREE GAME that typified the difficulties of transition where you became a BIG MONSTER GIRL. Huh. rowanrookanddecard.com/product/kaij...

rowanrookanddecard.comKaiju Girls - Rowan, Rook and DecardHigh School is awkward enough without turning into a giant monster when things don't go your way.

Would any of my mutuals be interested in doing a live-streamed actual play of a TTRPG game I’ve developed? Thinking about two or three 2-hour long sessions. I need one or two more players.

Watching the live action Moana with the kiddos. Catherine Laga’aia is great. The music remains enjoyable. The Rock is utterly, vacuously charmless. I maintain my original position that this movie is wholly unnecessary and without substance.

To provide context, there are many classical communists who were critical of the ML system this graphic depicts and would would not recognize the middle section as viably communist. These folks disputed the idea of a vanguard party and dictatorship of the prole.

Point being, simple graphics tend to be reductive in order to be simply understood, and I encourage everyone to follow their curiosity. Communism isn’t monolithic, and if there’s one thing leftists are excellent at, it’s disagreeing with each other.

Additionally, if one is interested in exploring these other thinkers who understood and theorized communism in ways that went beyond the popular Marxist-Leninist (and by extension Maoist) school of thought, I’d recommend reading Rosa Luxembourg or Karl Kautsky.

I can't stop thinking about how I want to make a ttrpg that completely changes the mechanics by which your character is played depending on their "class"; I'll do it if I can figure out how to not make it a nightmare for the DM.

Idk honestly, probably Dog of Wisdom. It’s as much an honest-to-dog insight into what’s going on in my brain as anything else.

You suddenly get a narrator describing your life and there’s no way to turn it off - everyone can hear it. While shopping, at work, at home, with friends - the voice narrating your every move goes on. Who do you hope is the voice of this narrator?

I just picked up a precision tool set with like FIFTEEN different types of tip. Types I didn’t even know existed! I don’t think I’ve been as pleased or excited with a purchase since I bought my copy of the Oxford Etymological Dictionary! #righttorepair

Reading the Gormenghast novels for the first time and man, are they a treat. Peake’s writing is succulent — “His voice came down from the shadows in huge wads of sound, or like the warm, sick notes of some prodigious mouldering bell of felt.” It’s the kind of sentence you re-read just for the joy.

I have been saying this for twenty years: To be good at an art-form you must also understand what exists beyond that art-form or you are doomed to do what has already been done but worse for better only happens when you bring yourself and what you see uniquely to the work.
