JUST POSTED: Today at The NYT we are publishing a major investigation into how President Trump used his executive powers to expose millions of Americans to greater cancer risks.
A six month-long investigation built on more than 10,000 pages of FOIA records. Read it

SHOUT OUT to Mike Luckovich: one of the all-time great political cartoonists. 🏆
With corporate media doing such a poor job in these most perilous of times, his work is more vital than ever!
THANK YOU @mluckovich.bsky.social!!! 🙏
Fetterman is not a moderate or centrist Democrat. Like Sinema and Joe Manchin a few years ago, he wants to announce as loudly as possible that the party has gone too far left and punish it for doing so. trib.al/byNISBB
You could have voted to impeach in January 2000.
Instead, you voted for no witnesses and no documents to be allowed at trial. You are a failed person, Cornyn.
📌Susan Collins is voting "no" on the repulsive Blanche because she has been given political cover by Thune.
Her vote doesn't matter.
This isn't a heroic decision, it is pure politics, and whether anybody wants to admit it or not it's how she has survived like a parasite in that chamber for 30 years.
Susan Collins announcing she'll vote against a controversial nominee is basically the moment it becomes clear that nominee will be confirmed. It means Thune has enough votes to confirm, and thus, Collins gets a pass to look independent.
THE TRUTH ABOUT NEW JERSEY: It was a glitch.
These folks didn’t try to register to vote as US citizens.
When they applied for driver’s licenses or IDs, they correctly identified as non-citizens.
A software glitch overrode their non-citizen status & mistakenly added them to voter rolls.
Do you want to know how popular school vouchers are? They have never won on a ballot. Not once. In any state. Ever.
The only way states are able pass a school voucher scheme is behind closed doors. Legislatively. The people would never approve their tax dollars going to private religious schools.
Katie Phang on Todd Blanche's latest response in her Epstein lawsuit: "The fact it took them seven days to write two and a third pages of nothing ... They don't know what they're doing. They are swimming in the deep end and they don't have their baby floaties to help them."
Khanna: Katie Phang brought a lawsuit under the original Epstein transparency act, and the judge has ruled that Todd Blanche needs to release the remaining files. And he has been in defiance of already a federal judge's order
Ossoff: "Aren't we all tired of living under an administration where we know we have to ask about every single thing whether the first family is getting paid and lining their own pockets?"
OSSOFF: So we entered this war on false pretenses. Sound familiar? Not the first time the United States has been dragged into a quagmire in the Middle East on false pretenses about weapons of mass destruction.
Medicare for All would save $450B a year.
Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.
Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.
It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.
It’s about priorities.
Still appalled at how paltry and terrible the NYT coverage of the protests were and how nobody there feels any responsibility to address the criticism. This was not something that caught them off guard. This was many levels of decisions.
For you in Missouri…Sinclair who is trying to slant the news for Trump and refusing to accept Jimmy Kimmel’s show…owns ABC Channel 30 KDNL in St Louis.
Well, there it is. Sinclair is digging in for a fight, so please help push back -- find stations in your area, watch their local news to see what ads they run, then write those advertisers to tell them you're boycotting as long as they're on a Sinclair station.
List here: sbgi.net/tv-stations/
This just in from Sinclair: "Beginning Tuesday night Sinclair will be preempting 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' across our ABC affiliate stations and replacing it with news programming. Discussions with ABC are ongoing as we evaluate the show's potential return."
“More than half of Americans say they’re stressed about the cost of food, a poll last week found…As for groceries, there are signs that tariffs are affecting prices on fruit, canned goods, coffee and other products.”

“In every meeting that I’m in with Democrats, someone quotes James Carville: “It’s the economy stupid.” But I’ve got to say: Democrats talk a lot about talking about the economy. But they don’t actually talk about Trump’s faltering economy as much as they could.”

One reason so many American hospitals are struggling? Investors buy them up, then suck them dry, charging such high rents that services are gutted.
Reveal explores what happened to one Louisiana hospital when Medical Properties Trust came to town. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
“The centrists & institutionalists, are sheltered in the house their forebears built, peering anxiously out the windows, worrying about what might be happening out there. But the rough beast isn’t out there…The rough beast is alive and well. And it’s right here.”

CBO just estimated the macrodynamic impact on the cost of the GOP bill - i.e., "is this bill going to help the economy so much that it pays for itself?"
CBO said that the bill pays for just 3.5% of itself - w/ a tiny upfront economic boost that declines over time. Legitimately embarrassing for Rs.
It may seem like a day to be fearful... I woke up scared too. But today in the face of violence and threats millions showed us what fearlessness really looks like.

Fantastic new article shows how the left can connect with rural voters – it’s not impossible, not even that hard. Congratulations to my friends at the Rural-Urban Bridge Initiative
People should be aware that using the term "DEI" plummets the support for DEI principles. This poll shows that while 80% of Americans support the core ideas behind DEI, only about 50% express support when the term 'DEI' is explicitly used.

Raskin: You see that with Hegseth and a lot of other people who can actually be promoted to the highest levels of this government with the most irresponsible behavior, but they all happen to be white guys..
