Results from Tony and Al's time signal special, Saturday 2300-2330 UTC, 9455 kHz from WRMI Florida. Everyone had similar image sync problems, so it must have been in a sound card at WRMI. It did not affect voice or text, so WRMI does not need to fix anything.

I managed a couple of #SOTA today, G/WB-010 and G/WB-015. I had a lot more planned but felt quite unwell after lunch! No takers on 2m CW. Decent activity on HF, as expected on the weekend. Let's see what tomorrow has in store!

@swradiogram.bsky.social Low signal level from WRMI in northern Florida, USA for Saturday's 2300-2330 UTC broadcast on 9455 kHz. A lot of backscatter in the images I was able to decode. MFSK32 text was 100 %, but '64 text showed some errors. Closing RxID to '32 was the only one that worked.

The audio stream also shows the effects of WRMI's audio processing, visible in the vertical dark lines. The processing usually results in failed RSID changes to MFSK64, and some missed image triggers. (1/2)

Well, there's Tuvalu in the logs, 7,000 miles on 15m FT8 on the fishing pole antenna in my living room. Absolutely tickled at what ham radio can do.

Results from the 1430-1500 UTC broadcast from the WRMI audio stream. All the text and images decoded, but the RSID to MFSK64 failed, as it usually does via the audio WRMI uses for 9955 kHz. It appears 9955 never came on the air.

@swradiogram.bsky.social Only 3 images decoded with local reception in northern Florida of WRMI on Saturday 2300-2330 UTC, 9455 kHz. I switched to a remote SDR in upper MA for the painting of the week image. All RxIDs were good. Text in MFSK32 was 100%; MFSK64 text was about 90% accurate.

Had a little time while the spouse was at the library so I ran over to the woods to try a 20m vertical that I put together last night. Ran the (tr)uSDX with my paperclip key and a $10 knockoff power bank just for fun. Didn't have time to fight pileups, but even without measuring - not too shabby.

@popshopradio.bsky.social From the first to the last, PSR is everything you'd want in a shortwave radio music program! I never can say how much I love that song by Gloria Gaynor! 👍 The Chants version of "I Could Write A Book." I like the Harry Connick Jr. version a lot. Rx'ing in n. FL
