When did the US Government start to make profits?? And this is paying for votes?? Or maybe praying for votes.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "Because of tariffs, we are taking in hundreds of billions of dollars of profits. It's one of the reasons I can offer, if Republicans win the House and Senate, $5,000 to every adult. We can do it and the Democrats can't, because the Democrats don't have any income."

This isn’t good.

Angry@angrystaffer.bsky.social

This is an absolute disaster from a national security perspective. Obviously, a lot on F-35s is classified, but a weapons-bay door and a canopy with radar-absorbing material are some of the most sensitive. Hard to describe how bad this is.

Newsmax just wants to be Trump’s favorite station. But alas - Fox News kicks it to the curb with bootlicking journalism. Where’s Maria landing?

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

RNC Chair Joe Gruters on the Senate map: "This is where President Trump is a genius. He went out there and recruited candidates that are winners for their states."

Who’s pushing for this inside the Trump administration?? It can’t all be Stephen Miller?? Can it?

The Trump administration is proposing a rule that would strip private schools and colleges of their tax-exempt status if they provide targeted help to students based on their race. n.pr/3Vdkcnd

🧪 Almost 20 years ago, I realized I didn’t just want to build supercomputers. I wanted to use them to solve problems that mattered. Great to talk with TheScientist about that journey and our work using HARVEY to build vascular digital twins. www.the-scientist.com/digital-twin... #DigitalTwins #HPC

At our municipal grocery stores, New Yorkers will get a 30% discount on eggs, milk, chicken, produce and other everyday essentials. In the wealthiest city in the richest country in the world, no one should have to wonder how they’ll afford the food they need to feed themselves or their families.

Marco Rubio misread The Art of the Deal as a diplomacy book??

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Asked about Trump's threats to bomb civilian infrastructure in Iran, Marco Rubio says "it looks like they're not ready to make a deal. So they're gonna continue to pay a price. And every night the price gets higher and higher." (This is a war crime.)

President Trump just gave a speech about voter fraud. Someone has been committing voter fraud — and his name is Ken Paxton. He was just caught voting from the wrong address 6 elections in a row. If the President wants to investigate voter fraud, he should start with Ken Paxton.

Award-winning director Christopher Nolan's take on the classic Greek myth is so in demand that moviegoers are coming out to see it at all hours. Here's why they said they showed up.

Imagine calling Alex Jones “hey brother”. Joe Rogan sucks. Spotify sucks for sponsoring Joe Rogan. Stop using Spotify.

Ben Collins@bencollins.bsky.social

Alex Jones is a big reason Andrew Tate became as famous as he is. Alex had a little skirmish with Joe Rogan, but offered an olive branch one day via text seemingly just so he could get Tate onto Rogan's podcast. I swear to you these are real texts, even the "Chinese monkey pig hybrid" part.

A $3 @mta.info subway fare and some good Q train timing can buy you one hell of a view of the July 4th fireworks and the Brooklyn Bridge light show! Huge shoutout to the train operator for slow rolling over the Manhattan Bridge and the conductor for announcing it.

Don’t play with your firearm. Don’t play with your work-issued firearm. Now everyone gets some remedial firearm safety training. Remember that finger guns are fun / make pew pew noises is fun / won’t accidentally discarge / injure or kill anyone.

The Pasadena Police Department releases video of what it is calling a “horseplay incident” in which an officer accidentally shoots his coworker.

Makes you wonder who inside Venezuela called Trump’s staff?? Was it Maduro himself? Was it Mrs Maduro - Cilia Flores?? Someone dropped a dime on them or they called for help. Cuz that was way too smooth.

Trump: "We took over Venezuela in a matter of minutes"

Why doesn’t Google buy computing from Google Cloud?? Cheaper via xAI??

Max Kennerly@maxkennerly.bsky.social

It's funny how the pitch for SpaceX is domination of the global AI business but the company's primary business (~60% of revenue going forward) is leasing its GPUs to Anthropic and Google at a discount because nobody wants to use Musk's MechaHitler AI.

Jared Golden is the Fetterman or the Susan Collins of the House.

Jonathan Cohn @jonathancohn.bsky.social

Jared Golden was the only Democrat to vote NO. If he voted yes, it would have passed. He isn't even running again. He's just a bad person who wants more people to die and wants a job lobbying for defense contractors. www.cbsnews.com/news/house-i...

Fetterman (D-PA) voted with the GOP again. Is there a Fetterman tracker for when he votes Democrat?? Manchin-Sinema Syndrome??

Robert Reich@rbreich.bsky.social

The Senate just confirmed Kevin Warsh to become the next chair of the Federal Reserve on a 54-45 vote. The biggest question facing Warsh right now: Will he do Trump’s bidding and advocate lower interest rates even in the face of rising inflation? I have some thoughts...

Are Trump’s feet like that to make him shorter?? So he is more eye to eye with Jinping?? I have no idea what is going on.

Can people enlist in the American military before being a US Citizen?? Military records show the defendant enlisted in the Navy in 2020?? Then they became a citizen in 2022?? That timeline means they enlisted before being a citizen?!?
