I still believe in the Replacements and the Bill of Rights

I wrote about California's 1867 election and birthright citizenship because it's timely, but also because more people should understand this history. I've been asking around and no one even knows CA rejected the 14th Amendment. I didn't -- until I started researching this. Thanks @calmatters.org

Opinion | After more than 100 years, the question is again before the court. Neither the amendment nor the historical record have changed. cal.news/4bSEwz1 📝 Brian J. Johnson 📸 Elizabeth Frantz

"The original public meaning of the 14th Amendment should be clear to any originalist judge. It was clear enough to end the careers of the amendment’s supporters and to trigger a backlash that shaped the country’s immigration policy for generations to come.”

It still has a lot to say—about the nature of tyrants and gangsters, the benefits of representative government, the desire for religious freedom, and the downsides of wealth, not to mention political equality and the universal rights of humankind. All that plus the case for Independence.

Congrats to Chuck and TNC California. DFW Director is one of the hardest jobs in state government and Chuck always managed it with a strong and steady hand. TNC is a good fit for him, and vice versa.

Big shakeup: The head of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife is stepping down. Chuck Bonham is the longest-serving director of the agency that's at the center of heated debates over how to manage salmon and wolves. www.latimes.com/environment/...

“Mr President, can you tell us more about that amazing cognitive test? It sounds *very* impressive.”

I guess the president just announced he recently took his latest in a series of cognitive tests, this one in front of a room full of medical personnel observing him?

It appears that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has, within the past week, scrubbed a large amount of climate change content from its official website, as well as *removed human-caused warming* from the discussion on its "causes of climate change" page.

This is a well-reported article describing a complicated situation that a lot of good people are working to resolve ->
