I’ve decided that I do not need to expose myself to any more country music or death metal. I am old enough that if I have not enjoyed either of those genres by now, that I am unlikely to start.

Back in junior high school we had daily student announcements over the intercom that were read by a rotation of kids that were designated for that task for one week. I was one of those kids. Based on my vast experience, I am officially throwing myself into contention to be the new press secretary.

Turning the old Cheese Grater into a Linux server for my kid. Chucking Mint on it, he can season to taste with whichever variant he wants later. #Macintosh

Just played a few minutes of BioShock Remastered and boy my nerves are just not great at dealing with creepy things these days. I think the real world is scary enough these days and playing it didn't help.

Found my junior high school era baseball glove whilst moving stuff in the garage. You know you are old when George Brett is the fellow that endorsed it. #baseball

Just thinking about how during the early days of mass adoption computer intraoffice networking, the person that suddenly became the IT person was the one that sat closest to the fileserver.

BMX Heat, an unreleased prototype by Atari, uses some hardware similar to Hard Drivin (or Street Drivin), and would have had a bicycle controller to play! Image from the collection at The Strong.

At IKEA picking up an office chair & two ladies wearing Taylor Swift Eras Tour shirts were in the aisle with me. I get the chair & Anti Hero starts playing over the intercom. I walked to the checkout & a different lady in front of me was also clad in said T-shirt. I felt like I was on Candid Camera.

With the A.I. companies buying up all of the computer storage these days, I'd like to offer up the solution we used in the 1980's to double our storage for free. You are welcome. #old

FOR SALE: Atari ST Colour Monitor SC1224 Tested and working. £300 Located in London, UK

I had this running all day at work today and when it was time for me to go home I legitimately felt guilty about turning it off. Silly, but I grew attached to the little guy and turning off the computer just seemed wrong.

Back in the mid 1980's I was hopeful that Activision's Little Computer People was what artificial intelligence was all about. I had a little dude & his dog hanging about in their little house doing little dude & dog things. I could interact with them if I wanted or I could just let them be. #AtariST

I bought my Atari 400 with paper route and Xmas cash in 1981. People criticize its admittedly awful keyboard, but to 11 year old me it was magic. I still have the 400 and cherish it to this day.

What was your first computer growing up?

On to another #Atari 8bit excellent arcade port, Sierra's version of the Konami / Sega hit game Frogger! We Atari 8-bit kids sure had it good before that pesky Commodore 64 arrived.

Tonight I'm playing one of my favorite #Atari 8-bit arcade conversions, Konami's Gyruss. The excellent Atari port was done by the folks at Parker Brothers and features an awesome Pokey chip version of Johann Sebastian Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor. I'm a bit rusty, but damn it is fun.

Our small business here in Pennsylvania has replaced a line of US industrial chemicals and oils with products from British Columbia in a show of support for our Canadian neighbors. I encourage every American to add more Canadian products to your shopping list when possible.

I’ve been humming the tune from Activision’s Pitfall 2 in my head all day today. You know a game I haven’t played in decades just randomly taking over my existence out of nowhere.
