I believe we have the wrong DNA profile to run a civilization. Pic is from Paradise, the town that burned down.

Talking CC: "It's like being forced into a plane with not enough fuel to get to a runway and any mention of fuel or crashing is reacted to like treason and the cause, and that the right way to manage this is to "stay optimistic" and pretend the plane lands even if it's a physical impossibility."

It's by design (pic). Turns out, if you give rich people power, it's game over. Oops, media is all owned by rich people, rather than a (for example) government funded but separate news organization that has a clear goal of prioritizing what's important for society, as well as holding up truth etc.

Climate deniers are part of a greater group of what I call "Xpunks" who are social media influencers posting on emotional-trigger issues, such as climate change, that easily rile up sectors of society (especially the right) by carefully planted disinformation and hate speech.

Vill du ha förändring? Förespråka den omedelbara inskränkningen av yttrandefriheten på internet för folk som sprider osanningar. Vill du inte ha det så vill du inte förbättra världen på ett realistiskt sätt.

Please consider lobbying your government to put stricter laws in place to stop disinformation. For example Rebel News is brainwashing Canadians and Americans. You should ban it to help Canada but as a side effect it will also help America. See the video on how Rebel News fabricates stuff:

About Rebel News: someone posted this awhile ago. bsky.app/profile/mich... I downloaded the video from Twitter so you can watch it here without visiting the website. Canada needs to ban Rebel News. The mistake the US makes is allowing disinformation. Other countries must fight disinformation hard.

It's hard to comprehend the scale at which supertrawlers are murdering life in the oceans.

Doug Parr@dougparr.bsky.social

6 supertrawlers collectively spent nearly 37,000 hours (or 4.2 years) fishing in 44 of UK’s offshore Marine Protected Areas Trawlers have damaged marine habitats and fish populations, despite the UK govt having the powers to stop them www.thegrocer.co.uk/news/supertr...

The uncomfortable truth is that the only way to avoid climate catastrophe is to dismantle the existing economic order and build a new one based on principles of equity and sustainability

You are up to date.
