I had great plans. Was going to bbq steak for our dinner. . . But did a few things first and lost my capacity. :(. Glad I have an able bodied spouse who pitches in. #ME/CFS

is the relaxed, unhurried act of doing small, minor, or random tasks without a strict schedule, rigid goals, or the pressure to finish. Cambridge Dictionary .

Local elections here. I voted online. But the new procedures for voting online were a little offputting for me and allegedly, others too. But, at least I didn't have to dress and go out to vote so I will ignore that it took me 4 times to get it to accept my vote. #ME/CFS

Hope I don't pay for it. Showered and washed hair with partial dry today first time in a week. A repair person was coming, so also did some tidying. And tomorrow babysit young grandson with my husband. I did not have my usual nap. I should go to bed right now but I don't want to. #ME/CFS

Where is the line between respecting my limits and becoming so afraid of a crash that I over-restrict my life, lose conditioning, and make my world smaller than it needs to be? All trial and error, perhaps. #ME/CFS

just watched another season of The Diplomat. First show or 2 drag - just a bunch of bitching at each other. hung on until finale. Kate is just so intense as is her husband. Maybe they can mellow out a bit next season.

Been fighting a low-grade cold since Oct 12. This is day 10. The energy is sucked from me too. Glad I have a cozy bed. I use a sleep wedge to prop up my head. Lots of pillows as needed. I love my bed. But I love energy more. #ME

2026 was defeating chronic myalgic pain and learning what my energy window is. It was learning pacing. Lowering expectations. Realizing things will take me 3 times as long as 10 yrs ago. #ME/CFS I will take the lessons, but it comes with a lot of questions.

Enjoying "Decorating on a Dime" on Facebook with the use of ChatGPT. Like when I was young and cut out furniture from Sears catalogues. But cognitive fatigue hits eventually. #ME nap time. I hope someone finds my renderings there useful.

Was a little warmer today, Cambridge, ON, Canada. Started yearly garage reorganizing--moving garden equipment to make room to park car over the winter. #ME/CFS husband helped once I hit my energy envelope & I was able to just point & have him move stuff. Did a 30-min horizontal lay but nap likely.

I am at my desk many hours daily, but I do have a lovely view that changes daily here in Cambridge, ON. The scenery has already changed from this photo, but I'm hooked up to my heating pad so I won't get up to snap a photo just nowπŸ˜‚πŸ₯².

Late start to my day. #ME Cloudy and cold. 10C no sun. Hard to open my eyes today. Made it downstairs by 1 pm! My new heating pad had arrived. One that hugs the neck and goes down the back. I have it on now for my cervicogenic pain while sitting at my desk, and it feels lovely.

I can handle the need to nap. What bugs me about #ME/CFS is trying to wake up after nighttime sleep. Reminds me of surgery day. After being under anesthesia. Had trouble waking up that day, and same feeling every day since more or less. Eyes just don't want to open though it is 11 am at times!

Skimmed a 2015 journal tonight. References to fatigue and aches and pains then. Notations about my sleep schedule. ME without knowing what it was, is what I suspect.

Son phoned to say he & his gf would be coming to carve pumpkins. I hadn't cleaned for a while. He gave me 30 min notice so I put on the roombas, got the table changed over, used a swiffer, put this & that away...was sweating, went to dress but collapsed on the bed. #ME

There is an "ability garden" at Riverside Park, Guelph, ON. Someone asked what it was for. I'm sure it's used for many differrent purposes, but I said, "say someone can't walk far (me), it is a nice short walk around the gardens after parking or being dropped off. Or maybe, they ride a scooter."

We had a lovely family day at Guelph's Riverside Park even though it was raining. I paced the week before, planned for doable walking today. Will see how I am in 24 hrs, but I think I did well. #ME

Saves spoons for today. Canadian Thanksgiving with my family. It is raining, but we are doing an outdoor outing anyhow. Making memories is what it is about. #ME

Husband invited me to grocery shop together. I'd done a morning of scrolling, I'd showered and washed and dried my hair. The stack was already high. I advised him, that if I go, I will be trying the mobility shopping cart. He laughed. I told him, "I get exhausted walking the full grocery store...

a husband being told in the past about my issues with shopping but him not really 'hearing' me. He seemed he would feel embarrassed by me using the scooter. But he gave in. He helped retrieve the key for it. I followed him around and it was very easy for me. And then he reminded me I could

still stand up to get something off a shelf. He was right. Being in that scooter had given me an invalid feeling; pointing at items and having him fetch them. Funny how that happened. I'm happy I am not a complete invalid at the moment! Yes, even having stacked spoons, I could still walk 10 paces.

Husband invited me to grocery shop together. I'd done a morning of scrolling, I'd showered and washed and dried my hair. The stack was already high. I advised him, that if I go, I will be trying the mobility shopping cart. He laughed. I told him, "I get exhausted walking the full grocery store...

especially if I've done other things first. I showered and did my hair!" He said, "Maybe we should go on a day you don't shower." I said, "But then I'll feel and look like a grub." I also said, "Why do you think I let you do the grocery shopping so much?" Ladies, and gentlemen, this is a case of ...

After years of living with #ME/CFS & not knowing it, I understand so much more now. For instance, I would start sorting or cleaning & have to quit, leaving a mess. Or, I'd garden, & not have energy to pick up the weeds I'd pulled. When vacuuming, without a doubt, the session would end with me .../2

Angry, screaming, yelling, stomping, feeling resentful...I have learned those feelings/moods are fatigue speaking. By that time, I was past my energy envelope! I get it now. And I use roombas now.

My #ME is mild but I can too easily 'stack'. That goes for many of us. I find online scrolling fatiguing. I must curb it! And I play online word games. Those are likely fatiguing too. Then, by the time I go to do my activity for the day, I might return to bed instead! #complicated.

I walked away from FB ME groups and deactivated this account for a time. I was too immersed. Mine is mild. I can still do stuff. So, I wanted to act like I did not have #ME. Act normal. But found that doesn't work. Cervicogenic head pain returned as did fatigue. So here I am again.

People with #ME/CFS who are still functional. Please give me a list of ideas of small outings for a change of scenery. Next, give me a list of ways I can create a social circle. I feel like I have no friends these days.

Real story: Invitations for an event. I explained I could not RSVP at the moment as my #ME is unpredictable. That some days I'm so fatigued...Was able to go to event & at the end, sibling said, "You don't look fatigued." I said, "I will crash after this." She said, "So will I, it's just aging."

The verse on my mind as I worked on this path the last few years. Trying to minimize the need to mow a slope there or to have to walk down it and up again to get to Vege-Villa, our backyard garden area. πŸ˜† #PEM is the bill I'm paying #ME (mild/moderate).

I must take a photo of the garden path I created over the last 2 yrs. I spread brown mulch over it today, & trimmed around it. Yes, fatigue was immediate. My nap did not restore much. I am so tired of being tired and feeling my energy envelope may be getting smaller!! But I will enjoy my new path.

Thought today about what my vision for #CambridgeON would be. Simply: a place where people can have a good everyday life close to home.” Parks, trails, community facilities, attractive neighbourhoods, useful services and gathering placesβ€”not everything concentrated in downtowns.

I would like a better state-of-the-art community centre in North Cambridge (forget the Ted Wake Centre): indoor walking track, pleasant gathering spaces, programs for older adults, fitness area, outdoor trails/gardens connected to it. The walking tracks are important in winter.

Fav part of my day is watching a show with my husband while I also work on my art in the same room. We just finished. Neagley. Very twisted for sure.

So it is Monday, and my PEM did extend to today. No 2 days are the same. I'm a high functioning #ME/CFS person who thinks some days I am normal so I over do it. But the bill's arrival proves me wrong. Thankful my family understands. Twas a bed day.

(Yes, AI was used for photo.) Today, I chose to spend an hour on creating a play area for our tortoise to roam other than his habitat. To move the cabinets, I needed to move heavy stuff in them which resulted in more 'sorting' than I'd planned. PEM arrived alarmingly quickly. (#ME/CFS)

Plus, likely a blood sugar crash from underfueling. Added on was stacked PEM from yesterday's gardening. I share this info for those in the ME/CFS community or those studying chronic illness as anecdontal information I hope someone finds interesting or helpful.

Really hoping I don't crash tomorrow & Mon. I gardened hard a little less than 2 hrs. Just tying back plants seems to be tiring of all muscles. Anyhow, I wanted to leaf-blow my mess at the end and by then I knew I was exceeding my energy envelope! Darn it! a-typical #ME/CFS #Garden #Nature #Canada

Life goals: Make decisions based on protecting #ME energy and health. Make decisions that will help us age-in-place in our current home. Encourage others. Nurture my faith. Support those who are the hands and feet of Jesus on earth.
