Updated pin post to represent the current and hopefully long-term stable! My header still has the deets, but our current cars are: - 1997 Honda Prelude base 5sp - 1991 Honda CRX Si - 1995 Toyota Tacoma - 2005 Toyota Matrix (named Binx) As well as a bunch of bikes now!

Go see Wildwood. Seriously, don’t wait—go see Wildwood. What a piece of art. The love for the manual craft, for story that doesn’t hold back, for filmmaking that is not here to answer to stockholders, it weaves all through it. Incredible stuff.

Repairing > replacing It was past time to fix the crumbling power cables for our 9V LEGO trains. Some new wire in and they're fully functional again! I'd love to get more straight track pieces, but they're ungodly expensive at like $4-8 apiece, if you can find them.

Wildwood was astonishing! An absolute feast for every sense, and a beautifully encapsulated story. I obviously don't ever talk movies much on here, but this movie was so gorgeous and hand-crafted animation is so important that I gotta recommend it. Go see it!

And she lives! Swapped from the Chinese carb back to the Walbro WA-2 I had rebuilt and she now holds an idle. Tuned it in by ear. Oiler works a treat. No more leaks! Pretty damn nice for a saw built in West Germany in 1976. Half a century old now.

Finally putting the work into my grandpa's Stihl 031AV chainsaw. It's a beaut from 1976. I rebuilt the Walbro carb a couple of years ago, but then the gas tank seal failed and I never got it fully running. It's a 2-piece metal tank with a gasket. New gasket + Seal-All should do it!

This is mostly for my western WA critters: I'm making a goal to photograph as many small WA state USPS Post Offices as I can! I'll be shooting with my Pentax P3 & CineStill BWXX film, then try something else once my X-700 is refoamed. I'm making a Google Maps list, so any locations are appreciated!

Got this sick lens setup for the X-700 from an awesome local camera shop! It's a Vivitar 75-205mm zoom lens w/ a matched 2x multiplier, making it a 150-410mm! Got the pair for $40, still in boxes (and the boxes have price stickers of $300 and $75 originally! Stoked to refoam the X-700 and get at it!

Me driving the Prelude anywhere: "this is the best car ever made, I love this car, it's so perfect" Me filling up with premium at this exorbitant cost because she deserves it: "this is the best car ever made, I love this car, it's so perfect"

Prelude update: My 9-year-old kludge fix of cutting off the end of the heater hose after it leaked at the neck finally gave out! The old hose was so swollen. Good thing I bought a replacement those 9 years ago! Now's as good of time as ever to put it in.

New camera Tuesday! This is a special one for me. My wonderful wife @tuftluck.bsky.social got me this Minolta X-700 for our anniversary! It came with an MD 50mm and a Tokina 70-210mm. This was the first type of camera I ever shot film on, courtesy of my late father.

I had to knock out a quick response to this garbage. Wouldn't it be amazing if they actually commissioned a real artist? Wouldn't it have been so easy? There's so many of us who would've been so happy to be involved in a project like this.

Looks like New Mexico’s state parts got tricked about their new mascot, this is almost certainly AI. Notice the hands- the left has human nails. The right hand has both human nails and dog nails, at the same time

Y'all have seen the CRX sitting on black 15x6.5 Rota Slipstreams for the past 6 years. I snagged them off FBM just to get something on the car. Well fate has smiled upon me and my dream wheels came up on FBM. She's now shod in bronze 15x7.5 Konig Hypergrams! Still gotta shuffle tires, but I'm happy.

Took the Bridgestone out for a test ride today. It's a really fun bike! The Conti Contact Urbans are great tires, really fast and easy-rolling. Big downside that I've got to fix immediately is the saddle. It's too small so it got up close and personal the whole ride...

The third brake light on the Tacoma is fully up and running! I spliced into the taillight wiring (ooof) and soldered on an XT30 plug. Cleaned the lens for the light, applied new silicone caulk, clicked it back into place, and everything works as intended!

Getting the 3rd brake light on the Tacoma canopy figured out. The old one was 3 incandescent bulbs and only 1 worked as the hardware was quite corroded (expected after 25 years). I got a cheap motorcycle LED strip and it fits great! Gonna wire it up with disconnects and reuse the original lens.

Got a canopy for the Tacoma! Color-matched, with the roof rack. Needs a bit of love, but it's solid and everything's there! Gonna do: - new struts - new foam seals - redo wiring - bike rack!

Awesome day out there today at EFs On The Mountain, a yearly cruise to Mount Saint Helens. I missed out on last year's, so I made sure not to miss this year's. So many neat EF builds out there! I'm finding that it's not particularly my crowd, but it was still a great event.

Only knocked out a row of cones in a spin once! And picked up a straggler, hah. I feel like I'm really dialing in the suspension on the CRX and feeling the differences between settings and tire pressures.

I lost my Trek Flare R taillight on the very last leg of the STP this year... So darn, guess I was forced to upgrade to the new USB-C versions. Oh no!

After 8 years and probably washing her like 6 times... I've washed, clayed, and buffed/waxed the CRX. Now she'll look good for autocross this Sunday, and then an EF Civic cruise in a couple of weeks. It turned out pretty nice!

Happy Sunday! STP Day 2: Electric Boogaloo ~101 miles to cover today. Weather has been perfect, not too hot, not too cold. I'm a tad saddle sore already, so we'll see how the day shakes out.

And that's a wrap! Today's stats: - 101.2 miles - 6hr 28min moving time - 15.6mph average - all the snacks - all the water And not as saddle sore today as yesterday, which is either weird or concerning but I'm not gonna complain! 209.7 miles overall with a high-14's mph average

Made it across the bridge in Longview and now we're in Oregon! Time for the Dirty 30. All highway. No shade. Almost there! (in a sense)

Lunch time! 31 more miles. Approximately 2 hours left. Getting into a pace line is absolutely key, I've found. I average 14.5mph on my own, but in the lines I usually ride about 18mph or so.

With it being chillier, I'm wearing my dad's 1994 STP jacket, complete with CellularOne, PowerBar, and Starbucks sponsorships. Starbucks was a local Seattle chain at this time with less than 100 stores around the area, hah. And my dope Smartwool cycling socks, like always!
