Texas is delaying its typical September 1 release of maternal mortality data until December 1, conveniently timed to be after the midterm election. Recent reports have shown a sharp rise in ectopic pregnancy deaths after the abortion ban went into effect. www.austinchronicle.com/news/texas-p...

There is nothing 'of the people' about Reform candidates, they are hedge fund managers, bankers and brokers; experts in ripping people off to fund their lavish lifestyles; devoid of honesty, integrity, empathy, any concern for others at all. They are the exact opposite of 'for the people'.

Q for constitutional lawyers: If gerrymandering by race is unconstitutional, isn’t gerrymandering by party? Both are designed to give an interest group a more powerful voice. Why haven’t we challenged political gerrymandering that locks people out regardless of race?

Holy f*ck. Trump just announced he’s closing the Kennedy Center for two years. The idiot thinks everything is about the building, but the building is nothing without the talent that fills it. What about the artists and ensembles who rely on the Kennedy Center? He’s ruining lives, the SOB.

🚨By a 6–3 vote, the Supreme Court ALLOWS states to defund Planned Parenthood, holding that Medicaid does not give patients a right to obtain care from its providers. All three liberals dissent. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24p...

It’s International Corgi Day (if that really exists), so I am reposting evidence of my dog’s unshakeable moral fiber. This is the only soft toy she’s ever rejected. De-armed in mere seconds. Destroyed in minutes.

From an FDA probationary employee: the firings are coming from outside the agency without cause and with zero input from supervisors (as promised.) More firings expected between now and Tuesday. Do not open the termination email before you download your documents and performance evals.

ATTN FEDERAL WORKERS: I’ll say this again: download all your SF-50s, performance evals, and your eOPF. Now. Print hard copies. And make sure you file an informal grievance with your supervisor within 15 days of any adverse action. Here is a template: www.muellershewrote.com/p/informal-g...
