I am physically sick. I already called my three congressional reps this morning, urging them to de-escalate, take back war powers, impeach Trump, and prevent this genocide.

Wish I was teaching "soccer & politics" class this semester...

This is where I grew up. Impossible to count how many times I was on ODU's campus. Gun violence has touched everyone in this country. No one is safe. Yet, these preventable horrific acts remain. We needed gun reform long ago, but let's not that that stop us today or tomorrow.

KENNEDY: You said, 'Republicans think can troll their way to ethnic cleansing.' Did I read that correctly? BIER: DHS tweeted for 100m deportations. That would be ethnic cleansing! K: You don't think it's hyperbolic? B: I think advocating 100m deportations is ethnic cleansing. Yes. Your time is up

Sports sprinkled into my international law class today: Opening with FIFA peace prize awarded to DJT. and talking about Iran: women's soccer players in Australia seeking asylum.

One of the great joys of life has been seeing Flavor Flav over the years... from watching Flavor of Love as a teen to see him become the ultimate champion of women's sports.

FLAVOR FLAV ⏰@flavorflav.bsky.social

This one is for a REAL need and imma hopeful that an auto company gonna step up. KELLY PANNEK from the women’s hockey team got hits by someone who totaled her car. She needs a new car. Lots of brands commenting that they want to help,, but few truly stepping up. Who can help,??

It’s Friday, and things are bad. And the semester starts on Monday. But, this chocolate babka king cake is fabulous. Made better by sharing with good friends. These are good things.

It should have long scared us all shitless that agents of the state can kill citizens w/ near-total impunity. It should scare us even more that this power now extends to ICE & other federal officials in our cities. If there was ever a time for mass mobilization to abolish ICE, it is now.

Rachel Schoner reposted

AOC: What we saw today was a horrific act of violence. What we have seen and are now seeing is that ICE has not just become an anti-immigrant force—it is becoming an anti-civilian, paramilitary organization. People are being taken off the streets for exercising their free speech rights.
