Please share far & wide. Looking for a #postdoc to get stuck in with a wide range of projects, with freedom to explore and lead the #computational #bioninformatics work 12 months to begin with, but for the right candidate we have funding for a further 19 months www.jobs.ac.uk/job/DPK467/p...

We will soon be looking for a comp biologist or bioinformatician to work on a number of linked projects within the lab - main focus is on molecular control of muscle Before the official advert is published, I’m hoping to spread the news to any talented near-finishing PhDs or keen postdocs!

Little under a week left to apply for this position to come and lead some cool experiments in muscle biology in London!

🚨Hiring a 2yr postdoc in the lab work on muscle biology, genomics & ALS. Expertise in the above advantageous, but work ethic, desire to learn/develop and being a good scientist/person more important Good collab with @droch.bsky.social so travel to CPH involved as well www.kcl.ac.uk/jobs/126245-...

Very happy to have been awarded a NIRG from the MRC. Stay tuned for some exciting (I think, but being biased) postdoc positions within our lab!

Congratulations to Dr Robert Seaborne @kingscollegelondon.bsky.social who has been awarded a New Investigator Grant from the Medical Research Council (MRC), which will support his work on understanding the role of skeletal muscle in motor neurone disease. Read more ➡️ www.kcl.ac.uk/news/dr-robe...

Fantastic opportunity for an ECR to establish their own group!

Applications are now open! We are recruiting 20 Assistant Professors in a wide range of subject areas. We're looking for early-career researchers with strong scientific merits and future potential. 🔗 All positions: ki.se/en/about-ki/...

New paper from the lab! Want to know if there is a difference in ribosome collisions between your samples? We show that you can detect this in the rRNA reads in your ribosome profiling data. academic.oup.com/nargab/artic...

Another beautiful collaboration 🔬💪 Proof-of-principle of getting both functional and proteomics data from a single myofiber - even from our tiny nemaline myopathy ones! Thanks for all the fun times in the lab @robertseaborne.bsky.social

Excited to share another great collaborative effort — we successfully combined single muscle fiber proteomics with functional assays in the same fiber! This integrated approach allows a direct link between molecular composition and functional performance at the single cell/fiber level.

It’s a timely process, building your own lab as a new PI. Especially with very, very limited start up funding. So this is a small step, but we now have our own, fully functioning lab room with everything we need (… nearly)

Replying to @arjunraj.bsky.social

If peer-review really qualitatively improved papers, then if I had read the preprint, I would subsequently go read the reviewed version. But usually, if I've read the preprint, the message doesn't change, and I don't read the final version. Sure, papers get better… but not by much. 3/3

For my second post; Anyone ever had a NIRG deemed fundable in a panel meeting and not be awarded due to funding restrictions, but held over to the following panel (5/6 months down the line) Only to be told the application is now deemed not fundable? Help! 🙃😬

You are up to date.
