"It’s a myth that once you hit 40 you can’t slowly and agonizingly mutate from a human being into a hideous, infernal arachnid whose gluttonous shrieks are hymns to the mad vampire-goddess Maggorthulax. You have time." buff.ly/PqMe2w3

I'm droolling over MuseHub's Polyspectral MBC for Audacity, but I have to block myself from spending money on every cool thing I see. Maybe in six months I'll drop the fifty bucks on it, because it makes audio sound like butter.

Wow, I haven't recorded any podcast episodes since getting my new computer set up, and realized I didn't have Audacity downloaded. Man, it has gotten a lot more sophisticated! I need to learn how to use some of this stuff.

I don't know where to vent, because I'm not on Facebook any more, so I'm gonna do it here and nobody is going to see it, I'm sure. Our old mail carrier, Bernadette, was awesome. This new guy is a fucking idiot, always losing mail, getting addresses mixed up, and throwing mail on the floor.

He tried to hand me a bunch of mail. Some of it wasn't mine. Some of it wasn't even for this street. He pointed to the little side street off our street and said "What street is that?" I've never paid attention, so I didn't know. But there is a sign. Also, I'M NOT A MAIL CARRIER.

Today something I've been waiting two weeks for was listed as "Delivered by USPS." Oh, no, I thought. "Put in resident's mail box" it said. As usual, the mail box is empty. Nothing even on the floor. Nothing outside. Nothing at any of the surrounding wrong addresses.

Bernadette delivered things on time, knew what the address was (hint: it's written on the outside of the house), and actually delivered everything in the Informed Digest. It's a duplex, and there are two mail boxes. This guy throws everything on the floor. That is, everything he actually delivers.

Because we never get half of what's in the Informed Digest email any more, until several days afterwards. First time I saw him, he came up to me all confused, and said "Is this your house?" with a fistful of disorganized envelopes. I said "Yes." He said "What's the address?"

For lunch: Prummy Soup My son made up very few words as a toddler, but one of them was "prummies," which is what he called farfalle pasta. I make this soup that we now call Prummy Soup, and it's amazing. I'm emailing the recipe to friends later this week in my friends newsletter.
