Been checking out Paper Mario TTYD 64, and there's... something so special, so hard to describe, about seeing the sort of "hidden areas" or "urban legend" content you used to dream about as a child actually manifest itself in a game in a way that seems so natural and fitting with the original

I feel like any other console generation or maybe even other game (outside of maybe the Banjos) this wouldn't hit me as much or it'd just seem like a hum-drum modding thing, but I finally understand what the people playing B3313 were talking about now

Finally got around to what I've often seen called "the best furry VN" and a host of other laudable titles, Echo, and like, wow. I'm glad I experienced some good dramatic furry art before this, cause that shit was so fucking awful I may have given up on the quest if it was my first exposure

Was too busy listening to it last night (and crying about the new manga volume) but finally, finally, after months of waiting, the collection is complete... I bought this, played "A Dream of Sepia" and immediately cried, A+ stuff

I had deliberately avoided listening to it ripped on YT until the official release, and man, what a fucking phenomenal totality 3 is. I can only hope that someday I have the strength of words in a review or the strength of creativity in art to offer a worthwhile tribute such a masterpiece

RPG #82 - Tales of the Abyss Tales of's finest hour. For a long time I considered Symphonia the definitive Tales, the one I'd tell people to play if they were only gonna play one... But this takes the cake. Might be my third favourite cast in any RPG ever, and so solid across the board otherwise.

Boyfriend had been suggesting I finally get into the Castlevania games, and I'm glad I decided to bite the bullet- first game in ages (since Super GnG) to give me such satisfaction out of learning the challenges/quirks 👍 I can reliably run ~half of it so far, hopefully the full clear is coming...

RPG #81 - Mythic Mire For such a short game (~4 hours) it managed to be such a joy-sucking slog that it took me a good 3 weeks to get through it... I can usually polish off a 20-30 hour RPG in half that time, for god's sake. Such a unique audiovisual aesthetic... A shame.
