Madness were on the One Show 10 years ago this evening (along with Harry Hill & Susan Calman from memory) & I was working in NBH that day and gate crashed the audience to see if anyone would notice..

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

If the BBC is having to make cuts, they should start with Laura Kuenssberg. Her personal bias - as distinct from any perceived bias numerous parties might attribute to the BBC - is so shameless and pathetic that you can see it from space.

Hard as it may be to comprehend, but Demis Roussos was a light entertainment regular in the UK in the 70s - he was on all the big shows of the day on both BBC & ITV #totp

One naked flame and this could be utter carnage. Hope they had a few buckets of sand on standby. #totp

Did they use the projector at the Shepherds Bush Odeon for the telecine transfer of this Dr Hook promo? #totp

In an earlier section of my career, I had a colleague who was a bit heavy handed on the makeup & they had the nickname of Gene Simmons. When they were leaving, I was challenged to get a Kiss ref into their leaving card.. and as they produced a late show, it was “no more crazy, crazy nights” #totp

Prey silence for The Pet Shop Boys… #totp - if you’ve never seen them live, your life is not complete. They are still magnificent

Kool didn’t think through the implications of having a band that size when it came to paying the wages #totp

I regret to inform you dear readers that if you purchased the video/DVD of David Gray’s 1999 gig at Dublin’s Point Theatre, my name appears in the credits - we all have dark secrets #totp

All I remember of Ghetto Romance is my friend's review of it in the university paper, which ended with the line 'I hope someone does take you seriously as gangsta rappers, and shoots you' #totp

If you listen to Spice Girls records really properly they're so good. Everything is full fat, quality sounds, beautifully mixed. Care has been taken. Effort put in. This, however, is an own brand rush job #totp

First film you saw at the cinema. The real first one, not the pretend one you tell people! Mine: The Empire Strikes Back, 1980, Wigan. We were near the front and I can still remember how massive the AT-ATs looked, looming over us out of the snow :) Film, year, where, and whatever stuck with you.
