I'm not going to defend Katie Zacariah's performance as Press Secretary, but I'd like to point out that Stephanie Grisham is now a pundit who is treated as a Serious Person, yet she was Trump's Press Secretary for 9 months and didn't go in front of the cameras even once.

It takes a massive level of arrogance to go around giving lectures that slag the Pope on religious matters. Billionaires are becoming so boring and predictable. It's like they're all auditioning for the role of Dr Evil in a B grade horror film.

Raskin made a holy shit observation on MS Now this afternoon: Since taking office, Trump has made a million dollars per hour for himself. Every hour, he has made more than twice the president’s annual salary.

The progression is AI (artificial intelligence, less than human), AGI (artificial general intelligence, equal to human), then SI (super intelligence, greater than human). We are nowhere near SI yet, no matter what Trump says. Right now we are at AI, approaching AGI.

Scotland is promoting nesting bricks integrated into new buildings to provide shelter for urban birds such as the common swift, whose populations have declined significantly over recent decades across different regions in Europe and elsewhere.

A few precise cuts turn a simple carrot into an edible butterfly, the classic kacchou flower carving technique Asian chefs use to dress up plates and platters.

This is the clearest look at the Canada/US trade war that I have seen yet, and it is far better than the near-panicked reporting we're getting from @cbcnews.ca and @theglobeandmail.com. Congratulations on an excellent podcast, @stephenmarche.bsky.social. podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/g...

This is the first time I've seen the news suppressed like this. MSNOW played dorky music, but the closed captions picked up the story anyway. I love the World Cup, but despise the greed and arrogance of the selfish money-grubbing people that run it.

Honestly, this is just the beginning. As we get closer to the election stuff like this will ramp up. And on November 3rd, and the days following, it's going to be bad

The real credit must go to the United States for completely disconnecting money from the service of humanity and figuring out a way to give so much to the person, of whom Bill Gates says, "The picture of the world's richest man killing the world's poorest children is not a pretty one." /end
