Oh right, I made these sprites once for MaGMML3. Might as well share them here, too! Some are edits to existing sprites, some were made from scratch. I don't even consider myself artistically skilled by any means, so I'm still somewhat proud of these!

I've reached a point where the state of the world and AI has started severely affecting my mental health. I can no longer stand discussions surrounding the topic. I've logged out of Reddit on all of my devices. I'm also in the process of looking for a therapist.

I genuinely don't know how to keep living in a world that keeps repeating the same mistakes again and again and then acts like you're the problem for pushing back.

Since this seems to no longer be people's default stance, it's time to make a statement: I'm 100% anti-AI. AI can go fuck itself. I will never use generative AI or AI automation for anything I create. My only use of AI in general is as an advanced search engine, and even that I limit to a minimum.

There's hardly any grey area for me. I don't care how minor your use of AI is - thumbnails, flyers, mood pictures, throwaway scripts - I consider all of these equally bad, because I see AI as an inherently evil technology. If you are an AI supporter or apologist, we probably won't be friends.

I was really hoping for a liberal OoT remake bold enough to even piss off some long-time fans, which is funny, because we kinda both are and aren't getting exactly that. In terms of gameplay, it seems like a very safe remake. The graphics are incredibly divisive, though, and I quite love that.

Sheik's identity has always been one of the worst-kept secrets in gaming, and the remake somehow makes this even funnier thanks to newly added voice acting and even more pronounced feminine features on his appearance. It's like Darth Vader wearing a plaque reading "Proud father of Luke Skywalker".

The more I hear about the Terranigma "remaster", the more disappointing it sounds. I really seems to be just a barebones effort of a port with "authenticity" used as an excuse for not going any further. You could just include umodified versions of the game along with modified ones, you know?

I'm at a point where I'm not even sure I'll be buying it. I still have the SNES cartridge at home. I just don't like it when devs create something that doesn't remotely live up to what fans have already created and then want people to get hyped.

That video is pretty old, maybe also slightly embarassing nowadays, but I'm still proud of it. For some more recent work, while I didn't create the VWF patch for Terranigma myself, I did help bring drop shadows back to it and thus make the text more readable: x.com/TerranigmaR/...

x.comTerranigma Retranslation (@TerranigmaR) on XAbsolutely huge thanks to @RPG_Hacker for implementing a new font system for the translation hack! Now letters can have a drop shadow making many things so much more readable. Compare before and after...

AI bros be like: Did I just order a pizza? No! I vibe-cooked! Did I just hire a specialist to fix my leak? No! I vibe-plumbered! Did I just call a taxi to get me somewhere? No! I vibe-drove! [...]

Either I've just been really lucky so far, or Reddit moderation has gotten a lot shittier recently. Within just roughly a week, I got two comments deleted for what in-context were clearly jokes (apparently I'm violent and a homophobe). Second deletion now lead to a three-day ban.

The most annoying part is that both deletions happened automatically, done by a bot. However, I did appeal them both, and the moderator for the first one was like "yeah, no, definitely inciting violence, staying deleted". Second appeal is still in flight, but I have little hope...

New arrivals, and @radicalfishgames.com are cooking once again with their merch! Excuse the slightly crappy photos, but both shirts feel very high quality. I love how cleverly the graphical design extends to the back of the shirts! XL size also feels perfect for me and is incredibly comfy.

One of those rare instances where a shirt feels neither too tight, nor too loose for me. I already know that these are gonna become some of my favorite shirts!

Honestly? This past week has been so incredibly weird in my life that the weird-ass announcement of StarFox tonight was only, like, the third-weirdest thing I've experienced so far. That being said... wow, yeah, that sure was weird! What exactly are you doing right now, Nintendo, buddy?

The game looks good, don't get me wrong. Just absolutely everything about it feels so weird! From the announcement, to the slightly uncanny art style, to the ridiculously high budget, to it being yet another remake and finally even just the fact it exists in the first place. WOW!

I just learned that the 10€ price difference for cartridges is something that Nintendo applies even to game key cards. Not only that, but in their official store they refer to these as "physical" and never mention the fact they're mere key cards. I swear, we haven't gotten angry enough at them yet.

I just found out you can search Google for "[Anime piracy site] alternatives" and the AI will gladly respond with an actual list of functioning websites, LMAO. This probably shouldn't surprise me as much as it does, knowing that AIs never gave two fucks about copyright. Still hilarious!

I took out my old GBA that has only been sitting in my drawer for (probably) 10-ish years, and it has yellowed so funnily that it looks orange now. You could almost mistake it for an official clear orange shell without seeing its backside.

I still feel euphoria whenever I see someone use my VWF Dialogues patch in a hack, especially if it's a cool-looking one. Can anyone relate? Most recently, it was when I saw MM102's really funny WIP troll hack. It's looking so good!

I've been pretty quiet about this recently, but have actually been working on it pretty intensely! Now there's only a few important features missing before I'd consider that a viable v1.0. To the left is the logo I've created (not perfect, but kinda fun), to the right the current archive WIP.

Oh, you thought I was joking? Thought I was making a funny, didn't you? Well, I was dead-serious. And I'm WAY too invested in this! Event spent literal hours trying to get a dark mode to work. On the plus side, I'm FINALLY learning some CSS and JavaScript basics!

For me, the desert in Metroid Prime 4 seems to be the Other M situation all over again, where everyone I see absolutely hates it, yet I actually ended up loving it. It's one of the worst positions to be in, because it's incredibly exhausting to love something that's universally hated on.

Holy frickin' frick, Metroid Prime 4 is ACTUALLY really and I played it for multiple hours yesterday and it's phenomenal so far, like holy poop. The year challenges me with yet another GOTY contender this close to the end. What a heck of year!

So far, I still haven't held Metroid Prime 4 in my own two hands, so I still don't believe it actually exists. I expect Amazon to show up with a prank package at my doorstep every minute now, only containing a silly message by Shinya Takahashi and confirming it has been a hoax all along.

You just know your tab messie syndrome is out of control when you wake up one morning and think to yourself "Hey, let's create a Firefox plugin!"

So I've just found out that SoulEye, composer of the VVVVVV soundtrack, has become an AI bro. The last two years of uploads on his YouTube channel are nothing but AI slop, with both images and (I'm pretty sure) music generated by AI. Man, how incredibly disappointing... I used to love his music. 😭

Okay, yeah, shiny-hunting in Legends Z-A is definitely busted, lol! This was after roughly one hour of reloads with the shiny charm. In total six shinies had spawned. I love it!

Maybe it's time to finally boycott Google as a search engine and move to something else. I'm already not too crazy about everyone and their moms trying to shove AI content into my ass, but putting the new "AI Mode" button to where "All" used to be is just hostile as fuck.
