I believe the precise wording was "Shove that ballroom up your FAT ass!"

Trump is interrupted by a protester in Mississippi: "Shove that ballroom up your ass!"

All 2028 Dem candidates will be asked (starting in about a week) whether they support impeachment of Trump. There is only one correct answer: ♦️Yes. Win or lose, Dems must fight. Any Dem who advocates surrendering in advance is not qualified to be the next president.

Jonah Blank@jonahblank.bsky.social

Kamala is 100% wrong: ♦️One thing we all should have learned by now: NEVER surrender in advance. ♦️There is no "get stuff done" agenda: Trump will veto all Dem legislation. ♦️Impeachment, regardless of removal, is vital for OUR character: If Trump is just "business as usual," our democracy is finished.

Just finished watching The Diplomat S4 and it is wildly sharp and off-the-charts entertaining. Every one of the eight episodes ends on a season-finale-level OMG-what-now twist. Wall-to-wall fun, sterling performances, and a kind of current political resonance that doesn't feel smug or forced.

During his short-lived 2020 presidential run, Sen Tim Scott portrayed himself as the kinder, gentler version of a Republican. And many Establishment pundits bought it. His record never backed that up. And neither does this:

There won't be any particularly good news out of Israel's election: It'll either be Netanyahu, or a guy with basically the same policies (at least towards Palestinians). But if Netanyahu gets the boot, that would expose him to the possibility of prison. Which isn't nothing.

Well, well, well…. An analysis of voter registration records reveals Republican operative Scott Presler had 3 out-of-state voters use his Pennsylvania address to vote in the 2024 election. This is what voter fraud looks like.

An under-reported aspect of his con: ♦️He doesn't build anything. Even his real estate "empire" is just slapping his name on buildings somebody else has built. Which leads him to be unaware of the basic mechanics of construction. Like how interior doors (including at his own properties) are made:

Headquarters@headquartersnews.bsky.social

Trump, 11 days before the midterms: You know, today when you buy a door, it's called 'hollow.' You buy hollow doors. If you pull too hard, the whole door collapses. You knock on it and it sounds like crap. If you're of average strength, the entire door collapses.

I didn't have time to read his whole novel, but my eye caught this anti-logical gem: ♦️"Lyin' Amy Acton, who I've never even heard of"

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "Ramaswamy put up a very powerful Ad about a mother saying that her daughter, Acton, is a liar, and much worse. The Press is trying to get him to 'take down the Ad.' Frankly, anybody whose mother spoke about daughter that way would normally lead to the daughter being precluded from serving"

The Devils was to be a one-week-only release, launching WB's new indie-ish and rerelease label Clockwork (which will purportedly survive the Skydance purchase). But it's done such big business ($2.3 million in five days) that it's staying in theaters. If you can, see this wild piece of film history.

Just saw the restored, NC-17 version of The Devils. 55 years later, Ken Russell remains A LOT, for better and worse. But OMG, Vanessa Redgrave. One of our greatest actresses 100% committing to a part that could have been camp. She and Derek Jarman's production design lift this into the stratosphere.
