This 33-year-old nurse told the FBI she knew she was “going to set him free” after border patrol agents brought in a man whose face was bloodied and seriously injured. She treated him and helped him escape, and she faces charges now. He got away, and they never relocated him.

There’s obviously a lot going on right now, but a Russian oligarch bankrolling the wedding of the president’s son is the kind of story that should dominate headlines in any functioning political culture.

The funniest part is that they could have created a benevolent technocracy that cemented the power of the tech sector for a generation. Instead they listened to fools and tried to revive 19th century race science and 18th century gender politics.

They think this is their right, and they’ve been told so for many years by folks like Curtis Yarvin. Those sycophants, whom they’ve had on payroll for the better part of two decades, have told them they should be literal kings ruling over everyone as serfs. And they believe it.

The vandalism and desecration of the White House isn't just vanity and it's not trivial. It's caesarism, as in literally what Julius Caesar did to the symbolic architecture of civic republicanism. Our national iconography matters and allowing the disfiguring of it to persist is a substantive harm.

Just got out of Quentin Tarantino’s adaptation of the Odyssey. He cast Lupita Nyong’o just so he could put the n word into the script. After that it’s pretty much all feet. Penelope. Circe. Calypso. Athena, ffs. Just feet.

Fascism is here. If you’re not alarmed you’re not paying attention. “Left-wing political terrorism” will mean those who oppose the regime — while actual right-wing extremism is allowed to grow and thrive. We are very far off the cliff, folks.

Super disingenuous framing by HuffPost. Look. I'm the king of calling Bernie and his Bernie Bros and the DSA Bros out on their anti-Black racism. This is not that. He was asking a *Black leftist*, how they address nonsense from *Black centrist* because as a white leftist, this is not his place.

If you can redefine neighbors as “aliens,” you have no duty toward them. If you can redefine the marginalized as a sinister conspiracy, you have no obligation to protect them. If you can redefine ideas as “degenerate,” you have no obligation to defend individual conscience. The Gospel of JD

The USMNT and Knicks being really good except for the precise moment when Trump involves himself is really funny

You know, maybe it’s a good thing that we’re all looking at 250 years and feeling anxious. Self-satisfied, imperial complacency is what got us here.

We need a leftwing ICE that puts chuds in camps for not doing land acknowledgments and sharing their pronouns.

Micah@rincewind.run

folks I am going to say this as nicely as possible preemptively dooming about how the dems will refuse to even try to use the powers the supreme court is granting to trump to reverse the damage in response to every post saying "they should do that" is somewhat less than helpful

It’s like broken windows but for democracy!

JD Vance: "I think Nixon's historical legacy is enjoying a bit of a renaissance, and deservedly so. I joked that if Watergate happened tomorrow, it would be like a 12 hours news story. The idea that it took down a presidency is crazy."

So the first amendment no longer protects dissenting speech? Someone needs to remind Judge O’Connor what happens when people are no longer able to assemble peaceably and petition their government for a redress of their grievances. Hint: they don’t just go away.

Judge O’Connor stated from the bench that he is giving maximum sentences to the Prairieland sentences because “the state wants to send a message to anyone who shares a similar ideology.” Additionally, motions 29 and 33 for acquittal and a new trial were denied from the bench.

Mamdani: "Solidarity with a government that is committing genocide is a very different thing than a question of solidarity with people of a specific faith. I'm proud to be a mayor of the city with the largest Jewish population in this country."

Riding a #FIFA branded 1 train on my morning commute, and there’s a homeless guy smoking crack in the car surrounded by people going to work. New York is back, baby.

This is what genocide looks like.
