Got OpenXR running on Apple Vision Pro with vision-openxr, my experimental runtime. Godot uses Metal, my C++ xrlib demo uses Vulkan via MoltenVK and shares OpenXR code with Meta Quest. github.com/1runeberg/xr... #OpenXR #visionOS #Vulkan

Spending the weekend chilling with some games on Vision Pro. With TFT, it took a bit of finagling to get everything hooked up since it doesn’t have native Mac support and there’s no Steam Link, but got it working nicely now. Note: no work context involved here, just for fun!

Landslide! Thrilled to see Labor win. Normally don't mind the usual swings between Labor+Greens and Liberals+Nationals, the Liberal leader's recent dog whistling pushed me to vote Labor instead of my usual Greens. Bonus: Lost his seat held by Liberals for 24 yrs! Go trumpin get a thumpin I guess?

Want to see something cool? We revisited the real library that inspired the one in Moss! (Location: Suzzallo Library on the University of Washington campus in Seattle, WA) This would be perfect paired with the Moss Book 2 soundtrack: youtube.com/playlist?lis... #GameDev #MR #VRgaming #cozygame 🎮

I'm putting together a starter pack of individuals and companies championing OpenXR! 🙌 Are you working on an OpenXR based engine, runtime, extension, API layer? Writing docs or tutorials to help people get started? Please reach out and I'll add you to the list! go.bsky.app/LRHRUMo

Open-sourced my standalone interface app for #Ollama & #OpenAI LLMs. No containers/tools needed. Chats are managed as local json and optionally encrypt with assets. Executables in releases. No signing certs atm, so consider sponsoring if useful :) 🔗 https://github.com/1runeberg/confichat

Been tinkering w/ a privacy-focused chat app #ConfiChat . Handles local models via @ollama and online @OpenAI w/ local history encryption. Looking for beta testers but planning to open-source this w/e. Pls let me know if I should keep the "cutesy" branding. Not so sure about it

Always felt foreign language practice is a great use for #LLMs First attempt at fine-tuning Meta's llama3.1 (via @ollama ) to help with my now rusty German - lived in Germany for 5 years but have been away for as long. Great immersion substitute I think! (red: AI, yellow: me)

This got me curious if these models can generate doxygen comments, so I fed #ChatGPT and #ClaudeAI code from my OpenXR wrapper lib and url to the spec. Claude came up with "ok" results but chatgpt seems unable to access the spec. Not quite useable but seems getting there imo.

Been testing @ChatGPTapp & @AnthropicAI side-by-side for some of my more boring tasks. Here's an interesting one using a quick sparse prompt. #chatgpt4o provided an interesting name; #ClaudeAI is I guess an Apple fan 😆 Both hallucinated features but leaning on ChatGPT on this

There's been a sudden spike of interest with my @OpenXR provider lib & demos in @Github. It *appears* to coincide with the @Meta #Quest3 shipping date. I'm glad there's so much interest with OpenXR and if traffic is indeed Quest3 related, MR content specifically 🧵1/4

Happy that my #openxr provider repo is getting quite a bit of interest @github - however, it's eating up my bandwidth faster than I can purchase packs for it. The spike is so sudden, are these bots or some valid use (e.g. school)? I haven't really done any active promoting.

Thanks for the feedback - still noodling. But as requested, releasing code & binaries early in a dev branch for folks who wish to follow along! Closest I’ve gotten to moving seamlessly in-and-out of different realities ala Star Trek’s holodeck. Enjoy!🖖 https://t.co/UNXZpHIBZC https://t.co/B...

Noodling a level transition mechanic for a WIP reusable app template+interaction demo for my #OpenXR library. Wanting something bespoke to #XR like The Lab’s orbs for #VR. What do you folks think of this? (Similar code to the eye tracking demo but switched it up a bit)
