Today me and my fellow developers at Autoscopia Interactive are launching our first game, "As Long As You're Here." It's a family drama told from the perspective of a woman with Alzheimer's disease, and I'm so grateful to finally share it with the world! store.steampowered.com/app/3309750/...

I’m running the Jubensha game Blood Moon Pact with some friends for my birthday this year! Really appreciate @lucasimmanuel.bsky.social introducing me to it! Also v greatful to the Twist n’ Turn devs for letting me get my hands on an early copy. Super stoked to share this with my buds ☺️

I saw You Can See Everything, and I think the odds are high that I've just seen one of my favorite films of all time. I'm going to be thinking about that one for a long, long time.

As Long As You’re Here just hit “Overwhelmingly Positive” on Steam!! Thank you so much to everyone who’s played our passion project game, and especially those who left reviews! We’re over the moon about this :)

After a truly awful couple of days reading about the harm Geller has caused, I’m so grateful to have found a piece of writing that puts words to moral questions I’ve been stuck on. Thank you for writing this @floramerigold.bsky.social

Yesterday's news about Jacob Geller broke my heart, so much that I couldn't stop dwelling on it all day. In an effort to make sense of this horrific news and my admittedly complicated feelings about it, here is my article on the Jacob Geller situation: epiloguegaming.com/what-do-we-d...

“Somewhere between absolution and annihilation there has to be a moral vocabulary capable of describing what happens after a human being does something unforgivable and nevertheless remains human. I don’t know what that vocabulary is yet I only know that I desperately want us to keep looking for it”

I’ve been consumed with precisely this 👆The necessity of holding the weight of violence to foreground the views of those who are harmed. I want to hold that with conviction while also holding the humanity of everyone involved without diminishing the violence. The lack of language for this is rough.

I’m a big fan of spooky media — particularly Mike Flanagan’s Netflix shows— so I’m super stoked about his new show Carrie coming out next week. But if you like creepy tv miniseries and you haven’t checked out Something Very Bad is Going to Happen, you’re missing out. It scratches that itch for me

I’m really pleased with Silent Hill: Townfall so far. I think I get why folks say its stealth mechanics are tedious, but generally I find it pretty gripping and I haven’t gotten stuck yet (as of chapter 3). Maybe it’s about to get harder? The mood and story are pretty compelling imo #silenthill

Yowza - looks like we're launching our game on November 16th! Get your wishlists in now before it's, er, too late?! ❤️

The game I wrote and co-developed, As Long As You’re Here, is 21 positive reviews away from being “Overwhelmingly Positive” on Steam! Help an indie passion project by checking it out and leaving a review? 🙏 This is a real big deal to our small team. Thanks! #indiegame #gamedev #narrativegame #steam

People arguing digital buttons are flat improvements for accessibility are really under-valuing haptic feedback imo. Don’t get me wrong, modular inputs are great and we need more of them. But the haptic layer of design is a huge vector for accessibility that digital inputs complicate.

Conversely, people interpret physical inputs through multiple senses (sound, tactility, etc.). Access isn’t just about an interface’s flexibility. It’s about how many modes of embodied meaning a design can provide at once. I worry digital interfaces would take away more than they provide.

But hey, who knows? The PS5 controller has pretty robust haptic feedback as far as motors in controllers go. Maybe the folks at Sony have a clever way to make haptic feedback happen on a screen-based interface we haven’t seen yet. For this to work properly, I think they’d really need to.

Consider how a physical button doesnt need to know whats pressing it so long as it’s pressed. If you’re pressing a button with your chin it works just as well as a press with your finger. Some players need to work with parts of the body that could be out of scope for a digital input’s standard model

Wow the karaoke scene in Perfect Tides: Station to Station is inspired. Definitely one of my favorite moments in a game all year. If you’re a creative type and you’re into narrative games, this game was made for you. Please, please play it!

Idk what’s up with my boomer family members, but they all seem to want to eat dinner at, like, 10pm. Both sides of my family are like this. Babes, it’s my bed time. What are we doing?

As a long-time fan of Dark Souls fandom, I’m delighted to report that possibly the most influential content creator in that space is posting again. EpicNameBro on YouTube just uploaded a Demon’s Souls Remake let’s play, and if you’re a Souls fan or game scholar into the series this is a must-watch.

Some of the best Dark Souls lore content on YouTube is his “From The Dark” playthrough, where he gets into some of the translation work of Dark Souls and shares a first-hand account of how it spread as a cult classic in Japan. It’s honestly stellar game history: youtube.com/playlist?lis...

Obsession is basically everything I want in a horror movie. It was perfectly scary. The pacing was fine-tuned to keep me from ever getting too overwhelmed. It would calm me down in one moment and bring in a bit of levity, just to make the next moment even more upsetting. Super good!

Congrats on the launch Coin Drop team! Really enjoying my time so far with The Remake of the End of the Greatest RPG of All Time. Love to see another game come out of the UC Davis game dev community 🤟
