The speed at which the Ford app team is able to roll out updates these days is truly one of the great, underreported digital transformations of the automotive sector. Looks pretty great with a Dark Horse and a Duo.

Our team has updated the Ford app to work with Apple Duo. Looks great! especially the open view. If you have the Duo, update the app and let me know what you think.

Congrats to Lula on overcoming Mark Zuckerberg and Donald Trump to defeat Hospital Pervert Jr., even as his opposition literally blocked off roads and turned off bus service during election day. Fascists are scary but they are always, 100% of the time, ultimately gigantic fucking losers.

70 percent of the internet was vulnerable yesterday to very bad security flaws inside a coding language. Turns out, *one volunteer* is mostly responsible for maintaining that code & helping push updates. Yesterday Ondřej Surý saved the internet. So I called him up www.theatlantic.com/technology/2...

theatlantic.comThe Man Who Saved the Internet YesterdayOndřej Surý was a relatively anonymous volunteer working on PHP security. Then the internet exploded.

I’m just saying when I was a kid, getting blown up by a drone was waaaaaaaaay down the list of things I had to worry about.

The chance you will be killed by a drone at some point has to be rising exponentially, right?

When Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the war looked markedly different. The battlefield had clear boundaries. Then came the drones. The front line in Ukraine has since blurred into a miles-wide wasteland where drones fill the sky and neither side holds control.

A coworker wants to wager me actual, serious money that the new Tesla Roadster will become the bestselling luxury sports car of all time… I can’t, like ethically, can’t take this bet, right, knowing what I know? It’s abusing someone’s stupidity.

do think there's a danger of looking at extremely cool shit like a car driving upside down then doing a kickflip before landing, and convincing yourself it's actually lame because the guy funding it is a white supremacist

It’s not a Roadster, because it has no removable top. It does get hucked off a ramp, though, so maybe we can call it Huckster?

Robby DeGraff@robbydegraffap.bsky.social

Finally, for god's sake...if it's gonna be called a "Roadster", lose its top.

"If we extrapolate that a little further, there are 2 kinds of people in this future. If you’re not extremely wealthy, you don’t get to enjoy driving—you’re getting driven around from place-to-place. If you want something super cool and fun the only way that works is if you’re extremely rich."

"I think it’s interesting that [Musk's] next move is not a sub-$25,000 car, but a flying one that’ll cost at least $200,000 and is targeted at a small percentage of the population..." This and more in The Morning Dump --> tinyurl.com/mw6ke78f
