Is anybody able to offer advice on emigration? I’ve been looking at Canada. I barely qualify to get across the border, should I be able to find a job (the market is proving to be a challenge). Any countries particularly easier for US citizens to look toward?

Moment of vulnerability: I’m a Veteran and I get my healthcare through the VA. Abt 2 mos ago, I came to the decision I should talk to a counselor. 2 wks later, finally called to make appt. 2 wks of phone tag talk to someone. Appt sched a month later. Appt was this morning. VA didn’t show up.

What am I missing? We’ve spent a whole week on a single shitshow rather than a cornucopia of shitshow varietals.

There are some policy things (like Title IX) that are a big part of the Fed DoE. Curriculum is not part of Fed. That’s all state-level. Fed is also a MINOR part of local schools’ funding. What will be impacted is cafe. Fed subsidizes food for all students. W/o subsidy, daily lunch costs will soar.

I just saw the Houston Opera’s production of West Side Story. Incredibly well done. Musically outstanding. In the current conditions in America, also a timely story about hating your neighbors just because of race and ethnicity. Such a necessary message. My tears at the end were genuine.
