Another great (actually awful) aspect of the right being products of 4chan and qanon is that they use obscure memes and hide 1488 references in social media releases and if you try to explain that everyone looks at you like a crazy person because "no normal person would use hidden code like this"

All you have to do to get this man on your side is blow smoke up his ass. 😂

Trump: "Vladimir Putin said something- one of the most interesting things. He said 'your election was rigged because you have mail in voting. It's impossible to have mail in voting & have honest elections.' He said that to me because we talked about 2020. He said, 'you won that election by so much'"

This is exactly the right take. Personally, this continued attempt to curry favor with moderate Republicans by throwing trans people under the bus has made me disillusioned with any candidate that isn't explicitly progressive or democratic socialist.

Gavin Newsom and Buttigege both seemingly want to be the American Keir Starmer, and Americans sympathetic to that pitch should glance over at how things are going across the pond

People are tired of being misled. People are tired of the focus group tested, soundbite marketable, sanitized political rhetoric that plays to a perceived center that doesn't actually exist for most of the American electorate.

Personally, what I want is true opposition to Trump and his unique brand of fascism. I want leaders like Mamdani who are willing to challenge the outdated assumptions about progressive economic and social policies, instead of cowering away from them the moment someone calls us socialist.

We've been in the trickle-down era since then, even if we saw sprinkles of progressive policies in new legislation under Democratic admins over the decades. But the economic and social policy was still largely market centered and top down. Culminating in the gloves-off oligarchical fascism of today.

I don't believe that people actually agree with the far-right politics that have dominated discourse, but rather that people are tired of politicians who pay lip service to progressive policy and then abandon it once they get into office.

This is exactly the right take. Personally, this continued attempt to curry favor with moderate Republicans by throwing trans people under the bus has made me disillusioned with any candidate that isn't explicitly progressive or democratic socialist.

Mamdani and AOC may be from a progressive bastion, but I also believe that more people than these corpo Dems think are open to a new progressive era. The progressive era didn't end in 2024. The progressive era ended when Reagan was elected.

Don’t get comfortable, try not to be scared. Stay angry, folks. These idiots will overplay their hand and get themselves in a jam; in the meantime, settle in for the long fight We ain’t beat yet

It's simply acknowledging that in the face of blatant cheating, those who typically play fair must respond in-kind to show the cheaters that we aren't stupid enough to let it happen without consequences.

All of these interviewers asking that question need to quit being intellectually lazy and ask questions of substance, instead of trying to force people into an absolutist stance that exemplifies the paradox of tolerance.

Exactly. This is how you get an economy that will be visibly failing while the numbers coming out will claim everything is hunky dory. It's infuriating to me that people fell for this man's bull. Donald Trump is he worst of what the US has to offer, and no one is seriously trying to stop him.

Dear tech companies, If you want us to quit using ad blockers, stop making ads so intrusive. We don't want them filling up half the screen. We don't want them popping up over the articles we're reading. We don't want to have to watch 2-minute ad before a 5-minute video.

Made up referral, made up story. It’s all a measure of how afraid they are of what’s in the Epstein files. Running scared.

REPORTER: Gabbard has submitted a criminal referral. Who should the DOJ target? TRUMP: It would be President Obama. And Biden was there with him ... the leader of the gang was Obama. Barack Hussein Obama. He's guilty. This is treason.

After seeing the news about the Pokémon Legends Z-A Switch 2 bundle, it's pretty clear that Nintendo's strategy is to offset price concerns by releasing bundles that include highly anticipated games. Which I'm actually all for. Saving a customer $20-30 on a NEW game is a good idea.

It gives new adopters a good, new game that they can play immediately and for a discount. What's not to like? Obviously, it would be better if it were $100 cheaper, but we're also in a much different market than when the Switch launched in 2017.

When I was little, the U.S. military came to our home at gunpoint and took me and my family away. We were imprisoned for years in barbed wire camps simply because we were Japanese American. I have spent my life telling that story, hoping it would never be repeated.

Once we inevitably defeat this attempt at fascism, don't forget the companies that bent the knee to Trump. Don't let them forget it. We can't let them rewrite their history. We must hold them accountable.
