It's half term, so I've left it this long to go to bed. Even though I'm not the one who works in education. And the one of us who does is in a really tough classroom this term, so he's been conked out at 11 every night.

I think referring to a song as "catchy" is perceived as pejorative, but it's actually a fucking difficult to write a catchy banger, isn't it? A Little Respect, Zombie (Jamie T), I Don't Feel Like Dancin, Hey Ya!, Come on Eileen, Pure, Alright (Kendrick Lamar), Grace Kelly. It doesn't mean bad.

This is Kane at the height of his powers. He's developed as a player, incorporating more and more into his game. If this is Yamal's best year then he's not as good or complete a player as Kane.

This was a while ago, but the warm throw and headband earphones for bed have been absolute gamechangers. Plus the deliveroo voucher I keep in my purse for emergencies. But absolutely everything has been amazing.

I didn't know my phone did this until I was at a gig and the act shouted "google, set an alarm for 8 minutes"

If you shout "OK GOOGLE PLEASE SET A TIMER FOR 1 HOUR" you might solve both of your problems.

I just put two cans in the freezer with a diagnosis of inattentive ADHD, an act which might qualify me for a diagnosis of impulsive ADHD.

Shane Gillis whining about what women wear to the gym has reminded me of the time I was walking there and thought I was being catcalled until I realised I was wearing an Ajax training top and it was actually two Dutch builders chanting "... PSV, PSV ..."

Everyone thought Lula was cooked, hopeless. Then he bought a phone and started posting and now he's gonna get a 4th term. The lesson is to never stop posting.

I've set some modest* goals for the next fortnight. But I am also gonna keep returning to the hot tub picture. Six short months ago I was on a mini-break and very happy. Let's get back to that. *teeny but gargantuan-feeling

Every team in the bottom half has got me going "nah, they'll be alright" or "I can't see them going". So my opinion is that no one will get relegated.

The Pogues' "Old Main Drag" was definitely the first time I ever recall a story being told explicitly from the mouth of a queer character. It's interesting where your young self discovers these other lives being lived but seldom spoken of.

God, just pulled myself back from singing along a slur "Frank Ryan brought you whiskey in a brothel in Madrid/ And you decked some fucking blackshirt who was cursing all the Y - whoah-o - close call"

What a fucking album though. It's "If I Should Fall from Grace with God" that everyone remembers, but "Rum, Sodomy, and The Lash" is almost perfect.

Whenever I post a pic with my best friend (left) on Instagram, some radom dude always replies, "Your mate's fit," and, like, I know ... I've known her for 39 years, it's not the first time I've looked at her.

This was 6 months ago. Luxuriating a hot tub with my best ladies. In that all-too-brief interval between deciding to quit uni and realising that I wasn't capable of making enough money to live on with my disabilities. But if this was May? And I was happy? I can get back there.

I don't even need to specify "left". The fit one. She's the fit one. I've been the plain one in two close long-term friendships. I didn't get funny by accident.

Tomorrow I am going out to the theatre to enjoy a nice thing. Obviously, I am riddled with nerves. Trams are off, so it's an unfamiliar double bus. Uber would be, like, £15. Plus, I simply have hardly been out of the flat socially in, like, 6 months. It's OK though. I CAN DO THIS (maybe)

I happen to recall this precise weekend 12 months ago, and that includes NOT being insane. A little unsettled maybe as it was already evident that uni was a massive disappointment. But, regardless, a year ago, I was a sane human enjoying time with good friends. I can turn this tanker back around.
