I don't care if it's more efficient. I don't care if you study the output so it's not "vibe coding." I don't care if it's just "grunt work." By letting the machine do your job for you, by coming up with excuses for why that's OK, you are kneeling before the billionaires with your neck on the block.

It's even more angering to me when other trans people will see "cringe" trans art and say that it's "setting the community back" or "making us look bad". Actually transphobes are going to hate us no matter what, you're just miserable and want everyone else to hate themselves like you do
When trans creators are subtle, people dismiss the trans subtext as “headcanon.” When trans creators are loud and proud, people call it “obnoxious” and “cringe.” They just don’t want us to be represented in media at all. Because they don’t want us to exist at all.

Its forever been the wildest thing being at games conferences -especially the largest ones- and the talk schedule is like - creating sincere art from playful naivete - balancing passion and health - how to dodge parental controls when monetizing toddlers - regrets from my 1st commercial codebase
making games so you can hopefully afford to make more games is literally a different industry from grinding up people so number goes up and it is harmful to pretend otherwise regardless of whether or not we share a platform or a binary format

It's a lesson on how much these systems can shape player perception, not just of an individual game but of entire genres and eras of gaming. In the case of beat 'em ups, the continue system literally flattened them to the point where most people can only distinguish the themes.

continued macbook linux adventures: i'm now so used to my kde plasma setup that i'm actively repulsed by aspects of how my regular windows desktop is set up. my desktop might genuinely just become a gaming and music rig at this rate, the ability to take the laptop into another room is transformative
