Zeitgeist 2.0 is out now, and I think it's the best journaling app around. Let me show you why. 🧵

One more thing. @saschagordner.de and I are working on something truly special. We'll challenge assumptions, rethink what's possible and create something we believe could change everything. We can't wait to show you. And we think you're going to love it. 🤖

Had an idea for a new app in the gym yesterday and after doing some research it might be better not to build it, but I just can't resist to at least play around with the idea. :D

Stumbled across this app icon while doing keyword research, and I'm still wondering how this app made it through App Review. Did the reviewer ever see Reminders/Calendar on their iOS 26 homescreen?

Happy Release Day. Daft Music 3.0 is out with AI Slop detection, 3D Cover Artworks, AirPlay, Equalizer, Instrumental Isolation and many more. Checkout the Trailer. #daftmusic #buildinpublic #indiedev #applemusic #macos #ios #macosdev #iosdev

Just set up Coolify on a Hetzner Cloud VPS this morning and deployed a Forgejo instance with it and... it feels amazing! Now I'd really like to have some runners for CI, which either means more $$$ or more over-engineering or both. :D

TIL about `UIApplication.significantTimeChangeNotification`, a notification informing you about significant changes in time, e.g. on date change. Super handy for when your view needs to react to date changes! #iosdev

It's hilarious that my latest app update got reviewed within 8 hours, while I'm still waiting for a product page test to be reviewed (1d 12h). #iosdev

New macOS app 🚀 Been quietly building a second app next to @getskydeck.app 👀 @getremark.app - comment on your Markdown like you'd review code, and your AI agent reads each note, fixes it, and marks it done. Download now: apple.co/3R2z5XW Website: getremark.app #BuildInPublic #macOS #IndieDev

You see the problems in your spec. Your agent doesn't. Remark closes the gap: comment on any line of Markdown, and your coding agent reads each note, fixes it, and marks it done. Claude, Codex, or your own. Native macOS. getremark.app

I'm starting to feel a bit of “Liquid Glass fatigue". Everything just looks the same. I mean it's been this way before when devs stick to standard controls (which is a good thing!). I just feel like Liquid Glass emphasizes that because it's so... intense?

Launched my latest app three weeks ago, got 15 unique downloads since then. 🥶 Pretty grounding to be honest, but I know it doesn't come over night. Current focus: ASO and influencer outreach. I’m offering creators a promo code and ask them for feedback, anything else would be a bonus.

Interesting side effects: One creator did look up my LinkedIn and asked for a call because they occasionally need an app developer. Another one liked the idea so much that they wanted to connect me with an investor. Not that I'm looking, but a coffee can't hurt. #buildinpublic #indiedev

What's the best way to create lifetime offer codes for an app that only offers subscriptions? Seems like you need a "hidden" lifetime IAP, but I got a bad gut feeling regarding the review. #iosdev

Tomorrow my new little app will finally go live. Really excited to see how it's perceived by the public. It's been the first app I published for pre-order, so it should already be live once I wake up. 🥰 #indiedev

I'm about to say something I haven't said in 8 years: I'm looking for a full-time job. I'm looking for the right role with the right people and the right mission, all of which I've laid out in this blog post. I'm mostly interested in something new, so if this sounds like your team I'd love to talk.

fabisevi.chOpen To WorkI won't bury the lede, I'm looking to go back to work full-time. I'm thankful to not be under financial strain, so I'm not rushing into anything. Instead I'm coming at this from a place of genuine int...

This is basically what diu does: it lets you define motivations for your tasks and be reminded about them, show behavioral insights and encourage you to reuse what works. I think this can benefit anyone who struggles with motivation or procrastination in general.

Now that diu will launch in less than a week, I think it's a good time to speak about why I've built yet another to-do list. I've got diagnosed with ADHD late in my life. We mainly started investigating since I had growing issues with motivation.

Once the diagnosis was secured, my therapist suggested that we should work on techniques to learn how to deal with the lack of motivation. One of those techniques is to sit down and think about why you want to get something done.

It can be an obvious motivation (Doing taxes: "I have a deadline"), or it can be something creative too (Doing taxes: "Lets see if I can do this in under 2 hours!"). Thinking about motivators, and being reminded about them helped me a lot in getting done stuff more regularly.

I like what meetup is doing here. Never really thought about that, but seems like such an easy UX win. Most people probably know that the logo leads back to home anyway, but still.

My biggest wish for WWDC: "Dear developers, we hear you. That's why we're quadrupling the workforce of our App Store review team starting today!” #iosdev
