Hear me out. If someone reasonably thinks that a pregnancy will cause them bodily harm, then stand your ground laws should extend to their use of abortifacients

Global Abortion Rights News@globalabortionnews.bsky.social

More on the decision: A federal judge ruled that part of Idaho’s abortion restrictions violate the U.S. Constitution. He said the 14th Amendment’s due process and equal protection clauses “establish a narrow but fundamental right to abortion when a pregnancy threatens the woman’s life or health.”

I delivered all 3 of my kids at hospitals that no longer provide labor and delivery care. Maine has lost 10 birthing units in just the past decade. While I appreciate the challenges hospitals like Lincoln face, closing this unit would be devastating for patients, workers, and Midcoast communities.

Gosh, the news out of Indiana is horrible. ICYMI, the Indiana Historical Society fired its entire Education and Engagement Team and its Exhibits staff. Apparently, the emergency all-hands meeting lasted 3 minutes & then they were all escorted from the building, having to return later for their stuff

This state supreme court opinion pulls no punches: “This court does not anchor Hawaiʻi’s due process rights to the federal floor. Especially one that keeps sinking. . . . State constitutionalism makes it easy to consider Roberts Court jurisprudence ‘white noise.’”

I would privately giggle if Kamala went on air and agreed with Trump about the stolen election…of 2024. The bicentennial of the Corrupt Bargain!!

Imagine if a woman president spent most her time raving and crying about an election she lost 6 years ago. Emotional. Unstable. Hysterical. Unfit to lead.

Wow. The ICE shooter in Maine asked his ex-wife to "to lie for him and to cover for his character." She said he was abusive and had previously reported concerns about him to his military superiors. He was also a volunteer firefighter, but was removed after several spats with department leadership.

Accusations are always confessions. I suspect something fishy about the 2024 election will come out soon, but about GOP victories, not losses.

In a sane world (an alt reality) today's dissents would sufficient to warrant Thomas, Gorsuch and Alito's impeachment and removal from office. Second apparently this was a close case for this Court. As it stands the decision is 6-3. In 1898 the Court’s decision protecting birthright citizenship, Won Kim Ark v. U.S., was 6-2. That means this SCOTUS is either on par w/or to the right of the 1898 Court - the same SCOTUS that decided Plessy!
