shoutout charli xcx making me need to adjust artist name handling

Fun fact: Despite working on and off on this project for over a year with a full rewrite in the middle, I only recently started actually using it as my main music player. so that's fun anyway i'll need to rewrite like All the views (I HAVE A GOOD REASON I SWEAR)

slowly inching closer to the First Release of venus aiming for "general parity" with Navidrome

Right now there's just dedicated endpoints like /artists or /tracks/recently-added which are fun, but inflexible. Knowing I'll need to support Smart Playlists in some shape or other, there needs to be a more generic way to fetch data. Plus it means there could be (gasp) customization down the line.

Rejoice, as we celebrate the birthing of a desktop generation that happened five years past

desktopGeneration™️@desktopgeneration.com

Five years ago today, desktopGeneration came into existence. It's been a difficult year, but we're still thankful as ever for the continued love and support we continue to enjoy. This year's desktopGeneration Direct has been delayed by one week, and will premiere 9/13 @ 1PM EDT.

I recently realized that I kinda forgot a lot of the GLaDOS lines I used to quote and it feels like a fail on my side. I promise to improve and get better.

Jokes aside, it genuinely matters to me on an emotional level. Portal & Portal 2 are very important games to me.
