I don't think I've had a proper "art block" in many years. But this is probably as close as I get to it! Not much feels right, the rare occasions I do draw. The ebs and flows of art and mindset! Perhaps I simply miss making scenes, and miss having the time n energy for a long term piece of art x>

Once again going on about bad assets..! It's a complicated topic but I'll try to write up my frustrations decently aha. I'm not gonna name any names but dear lord it is genuinely appaling that some folks dare to sell really badly made assets for like, $10 or more. Or selling it in general honestly

Selling it for money, presenting it as something solid at a glance, and then slapping on "no refunds" when the asset is found barely usable without several hours of retopology, reweighting and optimization, just... Feels bad. You spent the same money on this as you would on some Indie game aha.

Again, I want people to learn, make shit, make it bad, make it exist first, but gosh please learn, and actually take the time to learn. And please be honest and don't just let people pay money when they don't know what they're actually getting c,:

You have to make shit first to become good, to make mistakes and learn! Your geometry will be shit at first, so will your weights, but you get better by doing it. You don't get better by letting some tool do it for you and shipping it as is, it'll be bad in a different way without learning from it.

I may still change this design, toy around with the colors, in particular, as I pin down her exact vibes! I love the idea of a black n white cat but perhaps it's not the best for what I wanna do with her. But also, if I settle on this I'd also be happy so we'll see :3

...I am overwhelmed c,: But I don't think I'll find any reprieve for a while. I'll try to keep up, set some priorities, try to organise myself a bit better. But gosh, I am... So tired. I wish I could focus on just, one thing at a time. But... I can't. There's too much!!

Days off don't exist when you're just, stressed out of your mind and can't stop thinking about the dozens of responsibilities. I don't know how much longer I can take this though. But I hope I don't break and make irresponsible choices before I manage to work through the worst of it 💦

It's been two years and I still genuinely love Milo (Avali) Like, yeah I still make other shapes and characters but I always come back to her, which is wonderful... It's a nice feeling to settle on a shape that fits me and I care for! It took me 8 years but I got there in the end... My lil critter ✨
