Art is subjective so when I see "art twt" give ideas of what is or isn't acceptable I have to give a some what props to art school in Art History. Because the notion that referencing/tracing is a bad tool to rely on is honestly going to hinder art 1/3

I am gonna always have a big sigh when it comes to art twitter or even art places because twitter is so much bigger and I dont want to start beef. but its like for me I think a lot of people are harmed in the idea that anyone owns an art style or people who have similar must be hounded

when you look at the scope of how famous pieces or current modern artists make their artwork. Each has their own way of creating something because frankly art creation in itself is subjective. What techniques that would be deemed as "non-traditional" might be the avante garde of whatever is next

There are different methods of achieving a goal towards your own creativity but this notion of what is a good or isn't good artist simply based on reference needs to die. Same with paint overs/photo bashing/etc Two artists who have done classical training and both who do heavily ref- Are they weak?
