Solidarity with children requires listening to them—really listening. Pushing them out of spaces or refusing to speak to them outside of settings you dictate as acceptable places for them to exist is not solidarity. You must abandon the comfort of adultist control.

Fuck the law. Some of the worst atrocities in history have happened fully within the bounds of the law. Some laws explicitly and effectively prescribe suffering and abuse en masse. Laws do not dictate what is correct. Legalism is an awful system of ethics to live by.

I really feel like you shouldn't be calling young people "minors" unless it is specifically within a legal context where their limited rights and government-mandated dependent status are relevant. Calling kids "minors" all the time is a bit of a red flag to me, in all honesty.

so in the most logical of terms, it should be infinitely more difficult to argue against the moral utility of the nuremberg trials than it is to argue against the public mobbing of an individual who cooperated in his own investigation and yet. the video does so.

i am literally comparing jacob geller to the nazis at nuremberg. i am considering his statement, i am considering the statements by the various tried nazis in his own video. other people can come to their own conclusions. my conclusion, is that it doesnt matter.

the video leaves us with no answer, just a gnawing realization that even in the most cut and dry crime -> punishment slamdunk of Justice Served there is still nothing. total absence of actual material good produced.

what is meaningful is that that sense of justice was in no way meaningfully attained by through or because of that trial. all that was left was simply asking, what good did it actually do? what impact did it actually leave?
