Extreme heat waves struck the U.S. in July, bringing dangerous temperatures to most of the country over the Fourth of July weekend. In over 200 segments on ABC, CBS, and NBC, coverage failed to connect climate change to the extreme weather.

The Trump admin has terminated billions of dollars in DOE grid resilience and innovation grants in blue states and is "ghosting" billions more, disrupting valuable work at utilities in red and blue states alike. Here are a few of their stories: www.canarymedia.com/articles/pol... #energysky

Insane new research. Scientists gave asthma patients free electric stoves to replace their gas stoves, then checked to see if symptoms improved. Not only did symptoms improve, ditching gas was *better than medicine.* Details in today's newsletter: www.climatecoloredgoggles.com/p/electric-s...

Wasting all that space in our neighborhoods for pavement is a health hazard (and makes housing more expensive).

this was such a great convo. saw stephanie pollack at a conference in june, where she ran hands-down the most interesting and dynamic panel of the event. give this a listen, and dream bigger for our transit future! <3

Today on Volts: the US pays more per mile of public transit than almost any country in the world, thanks in part to federal planning, funding, & contracting rules that practically mandate inefficiency. I discuss how to change that with two authors of the "Transit Abundance Playbook."
