Bsky's gotten a little cringe with their hard AI shilling, only selling point this site had was not being cringe, so I'll probably just focus on posting to twitter instead since at least that's cringe AND not dead.

I'm creating Vtuber software that runs natively on the PlayStation 2! It runs directly within the Emotion Engine, here's a showcase of how it works! #VTuber #PS2

Made the bold choice of announcing the project while writing my own 3D model format from scratch. Expect more frequent updates/renders when I finish that, because rn mfs look like this.

Really glad the VTuber stuff took off, because looking back at my recent posts I was losing my fucking mind posting with minimal interactions.

just got emailed by HR while redecorating. apparently my office and attire is "unprofessional, messy, and frankly an eyesore". every time HR hurts my feelings I hurt a Glaggle.

A developer has turned a 26-year-old PS2 into a working VTuber setup The console can render a live animated avatar, with full-body tracking and EyeToy support planned

Toymaker in a news article before I even announce that Wretched Rose development has properly begun. Toymaker-heads...we're back...

The ideal endgame is to have the PlayStation do the face tracking using the EyeToy, no external scripts required! Full body will require scripts, no shot EyeToy can produce anything worthwhile with that.

My physical copy of Endless Monday arrived! To celebrate, I made a 3D render on the PlayStation 2 inspired by Hcnone's art on the disc. #EndlessMonday

I think I regret cross-posting on TikTok...

And yes! I post daily on YouTube shorts now! If you're interested in learning more about my PS2 Dev content I talk about it over there, check it out! www.youtube.com/@SerenityThe...

Decorating the background for my PS2 Dev YT Shorts, been using a bunch of magazine ads for PlayStation 2 games and 2000's anime.

I'm learning how to make games on the PlayStation 2! I plan to use the console's limitations and low-poly geometry to make a unique short horror game. For now, here's a few ominous shots with fitting music.

I FINALLY made a batch script to get all 9,068 textures decompiled from Okage: Shadow King Gonna see if I can go get these moved to the textures resource. In the meantime I'll set up a google drive or something similar in the next few days. #OkageShadowKing #Okage #ボクと魔王

Sure I'll post this in the middle of the night why not. Made some progress in the Okage decomp stuff I was doing a long time ago. Kinda hard to see but that's the point cloud for Rosalyn's head (and hair). VERY close to figuring out how to get the whole model.

Doing rough blockouts for Serenity and Toymaker, need 3D models of them for some upcoming stuff. But at this stage it just looks like Serenity and half a sentient eggshell.

I found the same library the PC-98 Touhou games were made with (master.lib) and started programming with it. Just a simple movement controller for now. Might make some small PC-98 games.

The tinted charcoal arrived! As a big fan of muted/desaturated colors, I'm very happy with how they look. Expect some art using them soon.

Update on the Multiplane camera project. The new acrylic panes have arrived! These are much larger and thicker than the old ones. This time I will use CAD software to plan out the build rather than just winging it like I've been doing. I've never used CAD before so it may take some time.

Attempt #3 at prototyping a desktop sized Multiplane camera. MANY oversights in this one, but it was incredibly informative for my next attempt. I need bigger acrylic sheets. Once I prototype a decent build, I'll try to make and share a 3D printed version.

Say your prayers Walt Disney. I've cracked the code on your multiplane camera for animation. It's just a matter of time before your empire crumbles.

Started learning how to sew. I'm hoping for Wretched Rose (and my streams) to do an art style inspired off of Gekidan Inu Curry (Madoka Magica) and Chowder where I mix real images and assets with 2D art.

Spent an embarrassingly long time building a shader in blender that gives 2D planes a double outline. It has a crazy side effect if you intersect two planes that I kinda mess with heavy. Causes an almost shadow-casting effect.

Some scans I did recently. Major stuff for streaming and Toymaker as a character being worked on right now. I won't lie I started chasing a few major ideas a month ago and that's why I've been absent.

Been learning how to make blender add-ons, my goal is to make an add-on that handles all the boring dial turning of making retro graphics for consoles like the PS1 and N64 I'll post some more frequent updates when I get into the fun visual things.

God I really want to make a fan render for the Iron Lung movie because I really loved it but the one I want to do would be major spoilers lol. I think I'll just wait until well after the digital release comes out because I'd hate to spoil anything for people.

Found another old sketch of Toymaker. I actually really like this one despite the fact that it came before the one I actually ended up posting. Surely they'll compress the 1200 DPI scan surely this won't be a 20 MB upload.
