Al Ewing is really going deep on Absolute GL. The issue I am reading has a lobotomised Shade The Changing Man working as a sort of soldier cultist under Sinestro and an evil Mogo. Don't love the art, but the story is so high concept I keep reading it.

This reminds me of the several week run I had on a trivia app as the number one ranked person in the UK on superhero comics. Some lad was always trying to trouble my lead but I always won it back.

This sucks on an incredibly high level, AI is literally destroying everything I love.

I’m 20+ hours in to Crimson Desert now and the dialogue is shocking, the controls feel like they were designed in an alternate world where our standard control scheme never existed. There is just infinite things to do. I don’t want every game to be like this, but I’m happy this game is like this.

Baffling to me that people think Nintendo are playing it too safe, as if Bananza, Kirby Air Riders, Tomodachi Life, Yoshi And The Mysterious Book aren't all deeply strange games or unexpected sequels. Even Pokopia takes a beloved series into an entirely new genre. The Switch 2 is only a year old.

Reading the latest Dungeon Crawler Carl by @mattdinniman.bsky.social and there’s a character named Sammy Harrison. I’m choosing to believe that Matt is just a huge fan of my Booktube channel and this is a loving homage. Not a complete coincidence because I have one of the most common names ever.

I’d love to get some of those camera Ray Bans for taking pics and videos of family stuff without having to feel attached to my phone, but why do they have to be pumped full of AI garbage? I don’t need AI to tell me what a donut is, or a person pretending to be AI reviewing pics of my kids.

The problem with DC and Marvel’s new compact comic trades is you can never read the whole run in the same format. They’re fantastic for maxi and mini series, but I keep seeing them for like the start of a run. At that point are they just supposed to be lead magnets for Unlimited and Infinite?

One of my biggest annoyances in discussion around TV and film is people complaining about shooting for TikTok. A trailer will have a person standing in the middle of a shot and everybody will write the whole film off. People have stood in the middle of shots since before movies had dialogue.

@libbyapp.com can you please add an option to choose if reading a comic to view in 1 or 2 page layout? I have a vertical monitor which is amazing for reading comics but when I use the Libby site it just puts two tiny pages at the top!
