I don’t always do the Connections puzzle, but I thought I would do today’s. I couldn’t identify a single group! I don’t think that’s ever happened before 🤨

For centuries after the execution of Piers Gaveston on Blacklow Hill in 1312, people reported seeing a phantom procession wend its way up the hill and hearing the tinkle of the bells worn by Galveston’s horse. #SpookySunday

Hospitals bombed. Schools flattened. A population starved. Yet the EU–Israel Trade Agreement continues, with trade worth €45 billion. The European Union is complicit in Israel’s genocide and the murder of over 70,000 Palestinians. SCRAP THE AGREEMENT.

This is truly worrying. We should all do what we can to reduce our water usage throughout the coming months to mitigate problems next summer.

Up here in the English Peak District it is pretty wet, hence the reservoirs But this is what Ladybower looks like now - nearly two-thirds of the way through Autumn This bodes very badly for summer 2027 Standpipes in the street would be no surprise at all www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

We saw you then for what you did for politics in England (reminder: #TomWatson helped destroy project #Corbyn whilst #NickClegg laid the foundations for years of #Tory rule) AND we see you now! Thanks for this @privateeyenews.bsky.social #PrivateEye.

“When I look round the boardroom at the other board members Palantir has recently also recruited from the House of Lords – notably Lord Vader and Lord Voldemort – I don’t have any sense that these people are evil,” said Watson. From the new Private Eye, out now.

Exactly this. Labour still seeks to trade on its past reputation as an ethical party that is on the side of “ordinary people”. When in reality its politicians are corporate shills with an addiction to performative cruelty; and its members mired in self-deceptive bullshit. Decency is elsewhere.

Labour seem unable to learn that in some situations there is a right side and a wrong side. Sometimes a compromise is entirely inappropriate. There’s no balance to be found between racists and non-racists. No balance between climate change deniers and reality.

PLAY 🐾 Dogs need the freedom to run, chase, tug, explore and simply be dogs. Your donations provide balls, toys and play equipment that give them those opportunities. Because caring for a dog means giving them a life not just keeping them alive. ❤️

Good morning everyone. No Wordle result from me today, as my effort was influenced by a malicious bot. Why do people set out to spoil a bit of innocent fun for others? Anyway, have a lovely, bot-free day.
