"Polls aren't meant to be predictive." @politico.com Quite the remarkable assertion in an article about that is all about whether we should trust the polls to predict the outcome of the Midterms. www.politico.com/news/magazin...

Holy crap @politico.com ! "Anti-Trump Video??" Are you serious? If reminding service members they can (and should) refuse *unlawful* orders is considered to be "Anti-Trump," then what does that say about the Trump administration and its relationship to the Constitution?
If nooses and swastikas are merely "politically divisive," um, what political party is in favor of them?
Exactly. It's just political theater.

A poll from the journal Nature found that 75% of researchers in the U.S. are considering leaving the country. That includes a man who’s been dubbed the "Mozart of Math." (This PBS story on the scientific brain drain is heartbreaking & ominous for medicine, imo.) www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLvO...

My new premium newsletter is about polls showing that liberals are cutting off their conservative family members, and my theory that this might happen not because liberals are more sensitive, but because conservatives are less tolerable.

This is what I mean by "purity." While there may be a large number of "deplorables" that voted for Trump whom you (and I) may find morally reprehensible, there are plenty of people who voted for him for less nefarious reasons, including ignorance, gullibility, apathy, desperation for change, etc.
