As I'm sure has been quite obvious, I've been reading a lot of Dr. Seuss recently. Just for the fun of it, I also decided to write this Seuss inspired poem. #poetry #poetrycommunity #kidlit

Quite a delight to learn that one of my very favorite current author/artists, @kochalka.bsky.social , has added to the legacy of one of my favorite artist/authors from when I was growing up. “Green Eggs and Ham Go Next Door” is a silly delight that's gorgeous to look at.

I read through Horton and the Kwuggerbug and Other Lost Tales by Dr. Seuss. Thanks to the introduction, I discovered “Marco Takes a Walk: Theme with Six Variations, Op. 25” by Deems Taylor, an orchestral work based on Seuss’s book “And to Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street”

While I understand why some lit magazines charge a reading fee, and I'm not faulting them for it…as a person who spends a lot of time writing poetry, the fact that I can't pay said fees is almost axiomatic.

We sat down and watched the AEW tribute to Pac this morning. Pac was the best pro wrestling had to offer, and AEW gave him a tribute worthy of that legacy.

There were dead birds washed up near the lighthouse I visited today. They looked vulnerable and poignant, no different in their way from a shipwreck victim from a century ago. The bodies fragile and too harshly treated by the light, but also beautiful and somehow remembered by wave and wind and rock

To be honest, I'm giving myself a couple days before I watch the Pac tribute on AEW Dynamite. I've seen a few clips this evening, and it looks like it's been a beautiful and powerful show.

I have books published with Bloomsbury, but the book I am most proud of is my self-published pamphlet for adults. I noticed a typo involving a SINGLE LETTER, & this morning I spent two hours trying to re-upload the document. It's FREE, and I'd love you to check it out: archive.org/details/the-...

Kenn’s poems are always good for a giggle and expertly crafted. As a sucker for alliteration, I particularly enjoyed this poem.

This poem by Brian proves why he’s one of the most gifted writers creating children’s poetry today. It’s a wonder-filled beauty.

A poem a day till @PoetryDayUK Today's is on the theme of WONDER and was written after asking a class of young children what they liked playing with. One small girl replied, 'I like playing with stars.' What a gift to a writer! brian-moses.blogspot.com/2012/10/play...

Both in the news and on a personal level, death has been omnipresent recently. So, I did the emotionally mature thing and wrote a poem about going all “I, Tonya” on the Grim Reaper. That is, if I recall, one of the vital steps in Elizabeth Kubler Ross’s stages of grief.

Gutted to hear of Benjamin Satterly’s passing (aka Pac in AEW and Neville in WWE). He was easily one of the most dynamic and gifted performers I've ever seen. Thoughts are with his friends, family, and colleagues.

Watching the first episode of Hazardous History with Henry Winkler and, holy cow, I always knew the old Action Park was dangerous, but it was so much worse than I imagined….

I've written a couple poems incorporating pro wrestling recently. Which means watching AEW All Out is technically professional research. The cost of the PPV should be a write off.

Reading Gary Paulsen’s descriptions of running the Iditarod and I can't help wondering, “How long until Darby Allin decides to give this a shot, too?”
