Hey there! A quick intro, my name is Shehan and I write about college football. I'm a native Texan who and I've covered everything from Division III to the national championship game. If you want someone who loves every inch of this sport as much as you do, I’m your guy. Follow along?

On social media today, I've seen someone claim BYU isn't a real top 10 team because they were 10-point underdogs last week, that Curt Cignetti is too good to be true and is probably cheating, and Britt McHenry assaulting someone (that's normal) Time to migrate over here for the day 😂

Does Oklahoma have any shot against Texas this week? “I don’t know how they’re gonna generate offense… If you gave me 200 yards for Oklahoma’s offense, I’d probably take it.”

NEW: The early weeks of the college football season have gotten dangerously hot, and the heat is lasting longer. Shortened games, a band member dead, hundreds of medical calls. With the season moving up, it's a huge problem. And there's not an easy fix www.al.com/sec/2026/10/...

Bill Bedenbaugh is Oklahoma’s highest-paid non-coordinator on staff at $1.2 million. Been a minute since his OLs have played to a commensurate level. Seventeen different starting combos since start of 2024. More misses than hits in the portal. As many HS signees as transfers since 2023.

Oklahoma has not produced a homegrown OL draft pick since 2023. They’ve regressing rushing every year since Lincoln Riley. Eight of 11 recruits in the Classes of 2022-24 transferred. Brent Venables is finally talking about it. www.cbssports.com/college-foot...

As someone who has to watch football games from around the country all day long, I am begging the right to literally have one other thing to say than "[Democratic candidate in my state] will make you trans." I need new content, I'm begging you.

One of the worst parts of the NIL era is that John Mateer is stuck continuing to play football for money instead of living out his dream of being an Instagram model

To this point, everything around Arch has been picture perfect. He just has to play better. The flashes are nice, but flashes aren't enough.

ok, here's my One Arch Take: The Mannings clearly thought giving Arch 4 years at the same school with the same staff, not worrying about the rat race of playing time/the portal/NIL, would give him stability to develop, but for whatever reason he's still raw/toolsy 4 years in rather than polished

Before Cam Buffington starred at Iowa, he terrorized opponents on the eight-man football field. I collected tall tales from Winfield to learn how small school ball shaped the next great Iowa MIKE. “If he has that matchup, we’re throwing a go route.” www.cbssports.com/college-foot...

They gave him $200 billion to make the "I don't even know where I am right now" machine

A forewarning that this one is difficult. But it’s a credit to Duncan Robinson and his family for telling it. They hope it’ll help others. And maybe it’ll be a good reminder that “we can all be a little less certain about knowing what someone is going through.” www.nytimes.com/athletic/761...

Confidence isn't necessarily a tangible thing, but it's a real thing. And for Oklahoma's offense, it's a fleeting thing after another lackluster performance, this time in a 14-6 win against New Mexico. "I expect more," Brent Venables said. "...That can't be the product."

247sports.com'That can't be the product': Confidence, and time, is running out for Oklahoma's offenseOklahoma's offense turned in another lackluster performance in a 14-6 win against New Mexico, raising more questions for Ben Arbuckle as the Sooners prepare to start SEC play.

Said this on the other app but I’m fascinated by Venables complete inability to hide whose fault he thinks it is when things go bad. I don’t know if he even means to, but he’s constantly throwing people under the bus.

Asked about his confidence in Ben Arbuckle as Oklahoma’s offensive coordinator, Brent Venables says: “I’m not going to talk about confidence. He’s our play-caller.”

I don't know if I ever posted this one here, but it's one of my favorite stories I've ever gotten to write. Last year, I talked to the people of Grand Rapids about their native son Trinidad Chambliss, the brightest and most unlikely star in college football. www.cbssports.com/college-foot...

John Mateer's miraculous recovery at the hands of Dr. Steven Shin will go down in the Oklahoma history books. Only 17 days after hand surgery, he was back. But is a miracle of modern medicine enough to save the Oklahoma offense? It's complicated. www.cbssports.com/college-foot...
