I want to make cards for your game. I want to make character classes for your game. I want to make enemies for your game. I want to make equipment for your game. I want to make items for your game. I want to make levels for your game. I want to make perks for your game. I want to make skills for you

Glad to see staff is so considerate to newer gamers in advance of the OoT remake. Not everyone has played through the game before, it's a lot harder to spoil the later temples when bluesky is blocking adult Links.

"Lasers? Is it lasers? It is! It's lasers!" Probably my new favorite voiceline from a videogame. I need to figure out how to make it a phone notification.

XIV community, talk to me. Gimme your top 5 favorite characters. It can be the main cast all the way to NPCs that don't get enough shine, who takes your list? #xivqotd #wolqotd

I feel like I'm missing some significant context for why people are excited about and are having their mind blown by a documentary about some silicon valley person.

I started playing Pragmata. I'm really hoping it's going to grow on me. The premise has all the right ingredients for something I would absolutely love, but so far the dialogue is undercooked and the gameplay is extremely "this is the PC port of a console game".

Finished Control Resonant. Overall it was a positive experience. But I did want to play as Jesse and use the Service Weapon again, so, I'm happy for [REDACTED] but not at the cost of [REDACTED]. Great traversal mechanics though. Getting around was a lot of fun.

Also, a shout out to the environmental artists responsible for the Mold. I'm not normally big on realism but the Mold was so visceral it made me super uneasy just walking over big patches of it.

Usually the writer of Don't Create the Torment Nexus and the creator of the Torment Nexus are different people.

This is entirely the plot of Diamond Age: Or, A Young Lady’s Illsutrated Primer and while I am not surprised this may be in fact the first we’ve seen of a science fiction writer bringing about the futures they’ve told rather than eschewing them?

Follow your conscience when it comes to consuming media made by problematic artists/authors/creators. But if you draw a line in the sand and start throwing base insults at everyone who hasn't made the same choice, I think you're an even bigger problem and I'm going to block you.

I did the 9 anime thing which is not *nearly* enough anime, so think of this as just a snapshot at this moment in time of what my 9 most influential series would be.

I need to accept that avoiding video tutorials is not doing me any favors. Even if I do find a way to engage with them, I can *still* hate them and the world that forgot how to take screenshots and write explanations.

Thinking about how the words for "descriptive" vs "proscriptive" in language is basically the dilutionists trying to make the clarity camp look bad.

Really hate this anime trope where the dialogue is like "this character is trans and a woman and we need to respect her" but the visual design is a hypermasculine caricature and more often than not her role in a scene is supposed to be comedic.

Did I miss something about the EA acquisition that means buying Zero Company isn't supporting the new owners? Because I'm seeing a surprising number of people talking about it.

Oops I did it again (Clearing the board spawns a large group of enemies... except here they're just dying the instant they land, clearing the board again and spawn.... well, you get the picture) It's wonderful.

Sadly going to have to toss Wilde Life into the dumpster fire pile. Was a fun story up until the author got real weird about people's reactions to physical violence/abuse.

I really wanted to like Meteion in FF14, but at some point she stopped being a character to me and started being a symbol of how writers love to turn people with mental health problems into villains, instead of showing how to help them.

Look, here's a moment where the Warrior of Light just stands there doing nothing when two reassuring words could have saved millions upon millions upon millions of lives.

There are a lot of things that make The Raven Scholar great, but the one I want to praise right now is how the main character absolutely positively cannot let an incorrect statement stand (even in the context of court politics where a correction might be a quick way to get a knife between the ribs)

I got to the end and discovered it is not in fact a standalone novel like I had been thinking. I am still doing the math on the things I liked vs the absolute BS at the end of the book, but the tilt of those scales is not looking good.

I am thinking a lot today about the differences between people who will hear artists say "we hate AI" and a) think "Oh ok these are my people, my allies, and I should support them" or b) desperately don't want their safe hate target to go away so they keep looking for excuses to be destructive.

Evercold will be the first FF14 expansion where I have zero narrative interest in the raids. Maybe the mechanics will be fun? Maybe?

FF7 is overrated but not as overrated as Evangelion.
